Re: Petrie departs…..
An excellent appointment.. To call him merely a civil servant is disingenuous and ill informed. A steady hand who understands Ulster rugby from grassroots level up is exactly what is required.

Re: Schools Cup 2022 and 2023 and 2024
A cracking match that could've either way. RBAIs experience in winning at ravenhill was a factor. BA were excellent but their pack ran out of steam and LO was ropey. The BA 8 was superb, and while Adam Boyd got MOTM, the Inst 7 wasn't far behond The BA 8 is only 5th year apparently! So is the RBAI ...

Re: Ulster's finances
Oh and UR have seemingly pulled the plan for expansion of the soon to be renamed Kingspan part of the rationale for property development into the neighbouring area. That comes with an assurance from the IRFU that should we ever reach the dizzy heights of a QF we can switch to big brother on the And...

If Ulster is to gain any success in the future it needs to appeal to the majority of the population.

I'd be happy to attend a match over in Andytown, and would happily take my kids.

Re: New Signing - Werner Kok
Stats aside, one could argue that Kok is the living embodiment of our new ‘three pillars’ of energy, enjoyment and competitiveness. He never stops, has had a bit of craic with East Terrace and knew he’d have to be the fittest bloke in the squad to make up for being a short Brennan. Would you want y...

Re: Bryn Cunningham in the Daily Telegraph - stop thinking about winning
The problem is exacerbated by the utter shambles that should transition young players into the sphere of the academy from clubs and less traditional as well as the traditionally strong rugby schools. Parochialism and amateurism is rampant. Promising players are turned off by being ignored, often fo...

Re: Contract Situation
No personal connection, I just get annoyed at arbitrary statements regarding players, particularly young players, without knoweldge beyond the 5 minutes here and there for Ulster. There is a massive rugby pyramid below the pro game, where players have honed skills and experience etc... but unless th...

Re: Contract Situation
If Stu, Addison and Marshall go, centres would be Postlethwaite, Moore, Hume, Moxham.... Who else? Stockdale to 13??? Moxham doesn't look to have the ability at wing imo, so putting him anywhere near a more technical position like centre would be a disaster. The runny stuff will hit the fan if Stu ...
