Re: Are we allowed to talk about KINGSPAN
If you wany blue chip sponsors to pay big bucks to stick their brand all over your kit and stadium, you've got to give them something their marketing department can sell across the UK and beyond.Lurgan Lad wrote: ↑Fri Jan 28, 2022 9:01 pm Can't imagine there are too many in England care about Ulster tbh

Re: 6 nations 22
The sooner Carbery gets injured and Cartey comes on the better it will be for Ireland. Carbery is a showboating £anny. Cartey is a proper outhalf who I'd have at Ulster in a heartbeat. That said, screw em. If a team sitting top of the table and 4 from 4 in Europe cant even have a single starter, you...

Re: Are we allowed to talk about KINGSPAN
The problem UR have is that this is really tainting them over in England. If a media campaign starts to roll they are going to struggle to get a replacement for Kingspan. I think the contract is up in 2023. Is it worth taking the reputational beating they are going to get just for 1 year? When a gov...

Re: Contract Situation
New management at Worcester. Not a particularly friendly handover either by the looks like it. Could unsettle the players and the remaining management team. We should be heavily targetting Annett. Johnny Bell could be much more amenabe to a move as well. He's always said he'd be back coaching at Uls...

Re: Heineken Cup 2021/22
Just read an article in the Times previewing theHieniken Cu p matches for this weekend. Obviously the so called Journalist hasn’t Seen any of Ulster’s games nor done any research as he majors on the absence 5his weekend of Stockdale and Addison. He very obviously lives on a diet of the Gallagher Pr...

Burns inability to control a game without Cooney really shows how much Cooney controls the game. Either we need a new quality OH or we need to start giving Lowry a lot more game time there, becuase Burns has already shown he cant play outside Doak with any real authority.

Re: Are we allowed to talk about KINGSPAN
It's got to be damaging them commercially. You couldnt put an ulster shirt on in London if it had the Kingspan branding on it. I really hope they have a plan B that they can use prety quickly becuause this is going to get a lot worse before the Grenfel inquiry is over. The association with Kingspan ...

Philomena's in Covent Garden used to be the place to go. Its got a Northern Irish manager. I dont know if there's a group. I've not come across them recently if there is.

Re: Ulster in the Challenge Cup
I may be a bit naive in the understanding of forward play, but I am a bit bemused at the concentration on this thread of the limitations of the Ulster forwards. I didn't see that forwards was our weakness over the 80 mins. It was tactics and strategy after the regrettable loss of Cooney. Our weakne...

Re: Ulster v Leinster Sat Mar 6th 7:35pm KO
I think it is somewhat disingenuous to label Methody and Davy Wells with that glass ceiling mindset. I too had the privilege of being coached by Davy and his primary goal was getting the best from each individual. Of course the School’s Cup was a major focus (just beneath beating Inst.!!) but you h...
