Re: Bordeaux Home - Live

How did Munster go from shyte to where they are right now Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk In no small measure, the return of Peter O'Mahony. Steel, ability, leadership and pure dog. Nobody embodies the jersey more at the moment. Blyendaal's belated emergence has also been a major factor. The s...

Re: Ulster Lions

Unfortunately I can't quite see Paddy making the plane ahead of Farrell, Ford, Biggar and Sexton. Mind you, if St Johnny is not fit for the 6N and Paddy grabs the chance, based on his form at present, he should be pushing very hard. He has really come on since the SA tour. Biggar may suffer unless W...

Re: Edinburgh v Ulster Fri 4th Nov 7:35pm BBC ALBA/BBC2NI

I had to help out with a Lego emergency so I missed most of the second half.

By the time I got back to the TV, Dad's Army was on. It seemed vaguely fitting.

I would love to have heard what was being said in the BBC studio during that first half. I'd say the air was blue.

This is one of the most inept, gutless and and clueless performances I've seen in a long time.

Did we not get four against Montpelier?

Woke up to this awful news this morning.

Words seem so futile in the face of such an appalling loss.

May Nevin, his Brother and Dad rest in peace and may the Spence family find the strength to carry on.

Who was the last player to play 13 apart from BOD for Ireland? Trimble?
It will indeed.

However, I thought you had lost interest in the internationals now?

Re: Gerry Thornley - coward?

i gave up on thornley as a result of his response to brennan-gate He did himself no credit in that regard, although he's by no means the only one. He was the ghost writer of Brennan's book and the occasional "diaries"; like I said above, too matey with certain players to be completely cle...

Very sorry to hear this confirmed. He was a serious rugby talent destined for great things in the game.

Re: This celebration of mediocrity is nauseating

Keith Wood suggested that when defending in their own 22 the ABs have a rota for killing the ball - first a front row, next a 2nd row & anytime he likes McCaw because refs don't like to bin captains as they "help the ref keep the game flowing." Seems credible, especially given McCaw's...

Re: Gerry Thornley - coward?

You read his article recently where he queried the injury situation (with POC in particular) and highlighted the changes in the IRFU medical team which may or may not be related? That didn't go down well with Kidney and the IRFU. He has also pulled no punches about the AI ticket situation. He does s...
