Shifty is, and at his age there is no point resigning him.

Diack will be IQ when his contract ends, because of this the IRFU count him as an IQ apparently.

Re: Squad for next season

I'd rather keep Danielli than Nagusa.

Re: Squad for next season

Last I heard we are allowed 4 NIQs

Botha
Muller
Danielli
Rush (if Wales online are correct)

That means we won't be getting a top quality 9 or retaining Jim.

Re: Confirmed - Rush has signed for Ulster

Stupid signing more like. Rush won't have signed to play second fiddle to Henry so that means Henry will be missing some game time, he's also an NIQ and with only 4 allowed next season we won't be able to get a decent scrumhalf in. I just don't get it, yes he's a very good player but backrow is the ...

Re: South African second-row Johann Muller in Ulster switch

Being realistic I think its time to get used to us being a feeder club. We simple don't have the support or money to support a team strong enough to compete against europes top teams. The best we can hope for is to achieve through our youth policy and use it to try and drag ourselves upto a more co...

Re: South African second-row Johann Muller in Ulster switch

500k pa is far too much for UR, as is 350k pa for a player who hasn't been in form for over a year. We desparately need a quality 9, next season (assuming Muller is signed and it's not all rumour) we will have one of the strongest packs in the ML and one of the best scrummaging tight 5s in Europe, w...

Re: England Saxons vs Ireland A

I'm surprised McFadden is starting ahead of Cave because Cave has been on form in the last few games and really looking sharp. Cave has just come back from a while on the bench  and as far as I know he wasn't injured. Cave tweaked his hamstring against Stade at Ravers, was on the bench the...

Re: Worcester signs Neil Best

Lads Best gave a lot to Ulster, put in some magnificent performances over his years here, some of the slagging he gets on here is completely unwarranted, yes he said some bad stuff about the ulster setup but what must be remembered is that the setup was a complete shambles in his last couple of seas...

Dragons :x

Need Toulouse to win for definite, and either Quins to win or Cardiff to win scoring only 2 tries.

Please say that isn't true

Sky surely already have a camera crew in Brussels and it wouldn't be hard to fly T-bone out there to commentate if Morris was needed in Perp.

Re: Team for Stade Mk II

Trimble has looked good in defence lately, witness his measured step out of the line to save a try last week. If Basteraud is charging the channel with a head of steam i cant think of any of our backs i'd prefer to be getting in the way. Rushing out of the line to hit the man is fine from wing, try...

Re: Team for Stade Mk II

I'd say it is tactical. Cave has been a bit lethargic/lazy looking this season and has rarely threatened to break the line over the past couple of games, kick up the ar$e me thinks. Trimble by contrast has been putting in performances of a consistently high standard, been cutting people in two defe...
