Re: Ulster v Munster Sunday 1 January 5:15pm KO TG4 / Viaplay Sports 1 / URC TV / Super Sport

Will continue to say it again and again Marty Moore is our most important player. Only tight head we have had in the last eight years since Afoa departure that can lock a scrum. That being said, and agreed with, the importance on scrummaging seems to be on the wane. I recall a game recently when th...

Re: Ulster v Munster Sunday 1 January 5:15pm KO TG4 / Viaplay Sports 1 / URC TV / Super Sport

4 big guns won’t be available for Munster unless they plan on resting them for Europe which I can’t see. They went all out against Leinster and came away with one point. Surprised they didn’t try and target the ulster match. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Maybe they fancy their chances against ...

Re: Ronnie Lamont

My old man has a story about playing in a Pupils v Teachers rugby match and the teachers had selected their British Lion! You wouldn't get away with it now! He tried to tackle Ronnie who barely broke stride and kept running with my da hanging off on of his legs. We used to have a school v old boys ...

Re: Ronnie Lamont

Ronnie went to Stan and played for Kings Scholars a junior league side when they owned the pitches at Shaws bridge . In the late 60s lads coming out from school ceased going to Stan opting for Queens or Universitys on the main land and Scholars ceased to exist couldn't field one team never mind two...

Re: Tigers v ULSTER MOTM

I gave it to Mathewson. He changed the outcome of the game more than any other player!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Though Henderson had a great first half but then faded badly in the second. Not a captain in my view He's not long back from injury so not surprising he was blowing hard in the s...

Re: Mexico Vs Ulster KO 5.45pm BT Sport 3

Talk down here is that Leavy will have enough on his plate trying to learn to walk normally again, never mind play rugby. Very sad for a great player who had one meteoric year in 2018 winning everything in sight. It puts rugby into perspective. Leavy is top notch quality, here's hoping he has a ful...

Re: Mexico Vs Ulster KO 5.45pm BT Sport 3

I don't think i've ever been more proud of an Ulster team performance. They played valiantly until the end. Okay, it was one that got away from us, but Jeese that should've been our game. Red, like the 300 Spartans!

Re: Six Nations 18/19

Brutal looking game no real loser there, England just seem to have the edge this week. Congrats TB, England did their homework, prepped well, put pressure on and we didn't find a way to get back in to the match. We overplayed trying to get back into it and played into England's strategy. I thought ...

Re: Leicester away

I guess at this stage the most important thing is the result. Did appear McFarland was reluctant to pair Shanahan and Lowry, Cooney made a huge difference when he came on. The game changed on it's head when Cooney came on. He gave us a kicking option behind the scrum and lineout, and acted like an ...

Re: Leicester away

Terrible performance but job done. To come back and play in the last half hour and win that match was top notch when you consider where we are in the pecking order of Europe, i.e. second raters. I know Leicester are no world beaters, just like us, but they're a tough team at home. Well played lads,...

Burns couldn't kick snow off a rope. Can you imagine any other professional organisation turfing their world class outhalf for that muck? Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk I'm a big fan of PJ but i wouldn't call him world class. He wasn't even Ireland's no.1. He looked pretty comfortable on the w...

Re: Leicester away

Can someone more expert than me please explain to me if the players are dropping the ball due to the defensive gainline pressure being applied and their over eagerness to run flat lines is causing them over run the ball. Or are they just all sh1te? I'm no expert but i'd say it could be a) big cup m...
