Re: Leinster thread 2010/11

Sean O'Brien is immense. I cannot see how he can not be picked for Ireland

Re: MUNSTER THREAD 2010/11

The years caught up with Munster yesterday. For such a physical game like rugby, they had way too many over 30s. They need a massive rebuilding programme. The worrying signs for them have been the slow development of their academy and the over reliance on worn out old guys. Anyway thanks for the mem...

Why don't Ulster sign him?
NOC is not doing much for you.

Re: Ulster v Leinster

Sorry Ulster, I thought you would do better especially after the Bath games, but some of your play was very naive. Sean O'Brien is on fire but really where were the tackles tonight? As I have said before thanks for giving us Boss. He mightn't be world class but he brings a lot to the party. Speaking...

Re: Leinster thread 2010/11

On reflection, it was up there with the best atmosphere I have ever experienced at a rugby match. The Auvergnais just sang away all the time, especially after a score: <bouncing>Qui ne saute pas n'est pas Auvergnat!</bouncing><bouncing>Qui ne saute pas n'est pas Auvergnat!</bouncing> They were lovel...

Re: Leinster thread 2010/11

Just back from Clermont.
What a fabulous atmosphere,
They have great supporters who were extremely friendly and gracious.
Our team did us proud and the physicality was exceptional.
Nice to see the young guns coming through.
What a difficult destination to get to!

Re: Day of reckoning arrives for Ulster

See Irish Times breaking news. Dublin is covered in snow. Why don't you look at the RDS rather than Donnybrook? Ulster consider moving tie to Dublin NOEL O’REILLY Rugby: Although they remain hopeful Ravenhill will be available when Saturday comes, Ulster have already approached the Leinster Branch t...

Re: Is anyone going to the RWC?

Trevor Brennan is organising a tour to the RWC. He's advertising during the Top 14 matches on setanta.
Sounds good.
Any takers? :mexican:

Interesting take on BOD and Earls in this morning's Independent: Jason Holland believes Keith Earls should be wearing the Ireland No 13 shirt. Re: David Pollock (Good Luck)

I am very sorry to hear about this as I was sure a fully fit Pollock would have made the Irish WC team.
It's a tough old game with a huge attrition rate.

Ferris frustrated over All Blacks' tactics Stephen Ferris has expressed his dismay that New Zealand escaped punishment for their cynical play at the breakdown in yesterday’s 38-18 victory over Ireland. ‘Streetwise’ is the term used to describe the All Blacks’ mastery of slowing down or killing oppos...

Re: Ireland vs All Blacks

Ireland gave us a decent match to watch.
Gosh it was miles ahead of the Scots' effort last week.
BOD proved he is still the business. Jamie was on a mission.
The Blacks are awesome.Best team on the planet and WC winners alright.

Re: Ireland vs All Blacks

Playing Reddan would be a joke. If you want a light guy (like Reddan) then play Flinger with the amazing pass and trip tackles. If you don't want that then play Boss with the physicality. Play Geordan who is in class form. Play Leo for physicality. I am getting to sound like Trainspotting here! but ...

Re: Ireland vs All Blacks

Don't agree with that team. Leo Cullen to start in the second row. Why would you play Toner who ranks behind Cullen and Hines at Leinster? Stringer to play as he offers quick ball. Boss as a sub in case Strings physically overwhelmed (likely!). ROG/Sexton: I honestly don't know. Sexton probably as h...
