Peter O'Mahony has reached the end of the road.
Likewise Murray.
Time for Ryan Baird to start.
Short of a mathematical miracle we are still on course to win the 6N.

Under 20 Irish coach, Richie Murphy, tipped to take over at the Kingspan .
I hope he finishes the 6N as he would ge a big loss.

Re: Contract Situation
why not go for 29 year old Ross Byrne?
OK, he picked up an injury post RWC but he has plenty left and loads of experience.

Re: Other Champions / Challenge Cup
While obviously delighted with Leinster's progress as a top seed, I am profoundly depressed at the state of Ulster and Munster. Outgunned and outplayed by English opposition. This has not been an especially good weekend for Irish rugby. The imbalance seems to be getting worse. Time to send Moloney, ...

We knew Frank Murphy would be biased but you just have to allow for it. Not an excuse. Better team won.

Well deserved win for Ulster. You were cohesive and we were disjointed. Henderson excellent as was Cooney. Billy Burns played well too.
We kicked everything which didn't work. Joe McCarthy was impressive for Leinster.

Re: Leinster v Ulster Mon Jan 1 5:15pm KO
Happy new year to all and looking forward to some of you visiting the RDS later. Bring rain gear as the forecast is awful. This promises to be a cracker of a game with lots of our younger players on show and old man Healy at loose head. I have a feeling that Ulster are going to put it up to us and t...

I would like to thank Munster for all the work they did on minding and rehabbing Snyman over the years. I hope he gets to play a few games for them before the end of the season.

Re: And today, joining the underground .....
Could Kissinger, the supreme shuttle diplomat, have resolved the Northern Ireland problem in the 1970s if he had been appointed the peace maker?
Probably like he did in Cambodia, carpet bombing the place and winning the Nobel Peace Prize for it.

Re: 2023 world cup
Amid all the disappointment this morning, it is easy to engage in recrimination. The stupid draw that supposedly puts Argentina and England way ahead of us didn't help. The history books will record a dismal campaign ending in QF defeat like before. Chokers and so on, but that's not the whole story....

Re: Ian Madigan
Madigan was not a "GAA convert" in the sense that he was a late comer to rugby. He played football and GAA, as well as rugby, growing up, which is commonplace with talented kids down here. I wish him well on his retirement.
