Re: Ulster vs Wasps

Baggy, your persistent bile, personal abuse and personal aggrandisement consistently ruin the otherwise enjoyable occasional browsing of this forum. Your posts show no understanding of the spirit that rugby should be played and watched in. You sound like a football fan. When do you go to Spain? Oh a...

Re: TRANSFER RUMOURS!!

Hearing that Scholes has been offered a double his money deal by an English club - possibly Sorries. Don't know of he has signed a contract.

Re: TRANSFER RUMOURS!!

Really liked what I saw of Byrne in the u20's - I'd take him in a heartbeat. If we could get back the Dom Ryan that broke onto the scene a couple of years ago is take him to!

Re: TRANSFER RUMOURS!!

I heard again today from a source close to the management that its Pocock and that the contract was agreed on the Monday after the Toulouse home game. Won't believe it until I see it officially announced but it doesn't hurt to hope!

Re: TRANSFER RUMOURS!!

I have it on good authority that the Ulster management are now resigned to CP not coming and are looking at 2-3 quality signings at least in part funded by the compensation Wasps will pay. Ludik not staying but not necessarily signing a full back replacement - thinking is that one or a combination o...

McCloskey ahead of Olding - explanation please?

I am not for a moment saying that McCloskey does not look like a fine young talent with all the amo to make (to use football parlance) a top top player, but I think Olding is currently a cut above again and looked like Irelands number 12 in waiting. What has happened that he is now warming the bench...

Re: Who was your MOTM for ULSTER vs Scarlets?

May have been a few errors but Olding looked a class act in attack and was dangerous every time he got the ball - gets my vote. Would like to see him tried at 13 with Luke at 12.

Re: So . . . who?

Don't think we necessarily need a DOR post but if we have to have one Brynn Cunningham or Ryan Constable could be good calls - good business experience with Cornerflag/new crowd, plenty of experience negotiating contracts, good playing backgrounds and bags of player/coaching recruitment contacts.

I agree with Russ here re the "craic/crack" debate - just because you say "deja vu" doesn't make you French!!

Re: Injury Update

Unfortunately I have heard that Paddy's injury hasn't ever fully resolved and could be career ending. Would be very sad if he didn't get the chance to play his 200th game and end in front of a packed house at Ravenhill. Great servant IMO. :salut:

Re: Who was your ULSTER MOTM v Treviso2?

I went for Sean Doyle for some good hits and turnovers at ruck time. I have been very impressed with him the last few games, he has really bulked up and, contrary to my former views, IMO he now gives us a credible alternative when Chad is injured/rested/on Ireland duty.

Re: Who was your ULSTER MOTM v Treviso?

DC gets my vote although I thought Diack, Herring, Touhy and Doyle were all excellent as well!
