Somebodies have got to get the P45s

Re: Ireland ? in New Zealand

Yes, quite possibly - I wasn’t certain they’d gone uncontested but I think it was briefly mentioned on commentary. Tight-head was in the bin for the off-the-ball tackle on Ringrose. Sub THP then gets red carded for the head clash with Ringrose. Ireland get penalty off a lineout 10m out. Ireland opt...

Re: Ireland ? in New Zealand

BE are and always have been rugby thugs. It needs a courageous referee and supporting touch judges ( and these days tmos) to call them out. Nothing valiant about it Nothing courageous about pointing out they had 15 on the pitch. It’s just basic numeracy. Officials still missed the fact that they ha...

I see Scarlets have the Cheetahs in the Bic. Some joined up thinking could allow them to play 3 games in SA. Won't happen, like, but it could.
Cheetahs are playing their home games in Italy.

Re: Heineken Cup 2021/22 Other Sides

There are nowhere near as many central contracts as you might think there are. Porter, for example, is only just moving on to one from next season, replacing Healy, who's downgrading to a provincial contract. Furlong, Ryan, Sexton, Henshaw and Ringrose on central deals too. All of Doris, vd Flier, ...

Re: Any word on the Academy?

Love the way that McLoughlin carries the ball with real venom. Postlethwaite playing very well too. Scotland are abysmal though. They got relegated from the elite division of the Junior World Cup last time it was played in 2019 and unless next year's crop are a big improvement on this lot, I wouldn'...

Re: 6 nations 22

The red card wasn't even remotely harsh. It was a borderline late tackle with no attempt to reduce his height. He was clearly trying to "lay down a marker" early on and got it badly wrong. As a result of his recklessness I wouldn't be surprised if Ryan ends up missing more games than Ewels...

Re: 6 nations 22

Ireland have always gone for safety at the back. Swervin Girvin and Rob Kearney being the two previous nailed on starters. Geordan Murphy also. My memory is Murphy had flair and was always second fiddle to Swirvin. My memory is that most of that flair disappeared after the awful injury he picked up...

Re: URC 2021/22 - Other Sides

Agreed Jean Friday night at Ravenhill wasn’t great but the difference is that Ulster came away with. 5pts. Whilst not disputing Leinster are a good side but Perhaps not as good as in the past nor perhaps as good as the Babbling Brook dwellers believe. A fair bit of rustiness in the first half (abou...

Re: Connacht v Ulster Sat Oct 23rd 5:15pm KO

Anyone know what the Covid rules are for the Aviva. Proof of vaccination needed? They've been listed as a requirement for Leinster's home gates to date but the checks are random. I haven't been asked for mine at any of the matches. You're far more likely to be asked for one if you want to dine or e...
