Re: Ulster vs Stade Toulousain 13/01/24 TNT Sports

Right. First ask them boyos from Toulouse :- Que pensez-vous de l'ancien joueur Trevor Brennan?" Or "what do youse'uns think of yer man Brennan? " Recommendations on where to send them should be made based on their responses. If they're fans you'll know to recommend them the Murphys ...

Wonder how far off McCann is. He'd be a huge boost if fit.

Re: Leinster v Ulster Mon Jan 1 5:15pm KO

The beauty of the try is inversely proportional to the number on the back.

Re: Leinster v Ulster Mon Jan 1 5:15pm KO

That kick from Burns was inch perfect, fair play to him for going for it. Don't think we had an advantage at the time.

Re: Leinster v Ulster Mon Jan 1 5:15pm KO

If you'd to say one good thing about our line-out this year, it'd have to be 'consistent'.

Thought it was a 17h35 kick off, so missed the first ten.

Re: Leinster v Ulster Mon Jan 1 5:15pm KO

As per below article we have used 48 players in 10 matches. I get injuries and rotation, but that is clearly lets throw mud at the wall and even if it sticks lets not play it. Not good enough from McFarland. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/rugby-union/67808607 When Leinster do it, it's 'strength in dep...

Re: Leinster v Ulster Mon Jan 1 5:15pm KO

From the excellent article "By comparison, the other provinces struggle on that front and face challenges in breaking even. Munster are the only province that owns their stadium. Servicing the debt on Thomond Park remains an issue even if the IRFU revised the annual repayments down to €100,000...

Re: Leinster v Ulster Mon Jan 1 5:15pm KO

Is it just me that 15 points might be overly generous to Leinster given the teams named? The fact that I'm feeling a tinge of hope after seeing the team sheets makes me worry I've picked up some grave illness over the Christmas holidays. Only Rea now keeping Ewers out of the team helping keep me tet...

Re: Doping

I'd suspect there is a problem with doping in rugby, but likely before the testing kicks in. Its a big step up in terms of physicality from schools to senior rugby and that 16-21 demogaph is where I'd expect it to be at its worst. If imagine the bigger names are tested often enough to make it very d...

Re: Ulster v Connacht

Biggest worry was the lineout again. Was right behind Stewart for two of them, nothing wrong with the darts, but Connacht seemed to have no bother working out where it was going with enough time to get a man up in front.

Re: Ulster v Connacht

Stockdale’s defence is woeful too. He keeps biting in when he should stay wide. I think he’s getting worse rather than better?? Doak wasn’t going to get the bloke for the try though. Who missed the second tackle for the previous try? Flannery or Addison I’m assuming. My thought for the last...

Re: Ulster v Connacht

Pantomime season has kicked off. "Ulster head coach Dan McFarland has said he does not judge himself solely on trophies but insists he and his players will not rest until they end the club's long wait for silverware." Maybe he was in Leicester seeing if he could pinch some silver from the...
