Re: Bath v Ulster

Anyone have Brian McLaughlins number? Also Ewers, what a complete waste of money Ewers was outstanding in a very good Exeter team. I suggest you look at the coaching team Pip That was 3 seasons ago. Ewers was on the bench last season. Age has caught up with him. I for one thought Ewers could/should...

Re: Dan’s Not the Man.

I'm not saying its the case, but if Dan is to be replaced mid-season you'd ideally want to have a replacement at least sounded out before any announcement is made, rather than having updates on one of our famous 'World wide searches' acting as a distraction for every match remaining this season. The...

I wonder if Mark McCall has any thoughts on that.

Stockdale went into the scrum, so they were a man down in the backs and had to resort to a soft drift defense.

To be fair, thought our starting backline looked quite good, including (dare I say it) Doak. Our replacement half backs both had pretty bad games.

Re: Bath v Ulster

Wonder what positives we can take out of that. It wasn't quite as embarrassing as Sale away last year maybe? There were a couple of decent individual performances from within the side, but as a whole it wasn't pretty. Bath looked alright as a team, but a couple of years ago I think we'd have been pu...

Re: Injury Update

He's never been given a run of games at 10 to make that judgement. There are a few times where that has been the plan, but he was forced to 15 by Addison's numerous injuries. It's only fairly recently that Moore has started to be considered an option there too.

Re: Bath v Ulster

Paddy Power make Bath seven point favourites, Ulster are 11/4 to for the win outright.

Re: Bath v Ulster

Couple of big surprises in there: - Sheridan's absence - very hard to explain from what I've seen, unless there's an injury - AOC starting - has been a shadow of himself this year, maybe picked for the lineout? I agree that O’Connor is on the wane, he’s too short to be an effective lineout jumper t...

Re: Bath v Ulster

I wasn’t as convinced as others that playing the French sides in Belfast and the English sides away was a particularly great set of fixtures. Not only did it ruin my holiday plans but I’m pretty sure that the reverse would have seen us qualify comfortably. If we don’t find another gear from somewhe...

Re: Scrums. What are they for?

I've always found Moore utterly unbearable when commentating on England, but for games where be is neutral he can be interesting. There are a number more insightful, but enjoy his passion and straight talking. Also, credit to him for doing the refereeing course, remember reading an interview with hi...

think the team on Saturday will be something like: Kitshoff, Stewart, Moore, Henderson, Treadwell, Ewers, Timoney, McNabney, Cooney, Burns, Stockdale, McCloskey, Hume, Baloucoune, Moore Subs - Herring, Warwick, Moore, O’Connor, Sheridan, Doak, Flannery, Lowry 3 wrong in starting team. Re: Injury Update

Don't agree on Lowry, he forced his way into the Ireland reckoning at fullback a few years ago. His tackling is fearless to the point he's almost too brave for his own good too. On song him and Addison are both utter class, hopefully Lowry gets a run of games to try and find some form. Think our bac...
