Re: TRANSFER RUMOURS!!

I remember when Will first came and I saw how good he was I was confused that he didn't already have 50 odd caps for England, then we saw why he didn't. Would have had a chance of being world class if he wasn't made of glass.

To be honest I actually think we're OK at lock. I think both the academy guys in that position have a good shot of making the grade, so don't mind being one short, with a chance they'll see game time.

It must be nice for John McKee to get to play pro rugby at Ravenhill after seeing Tom Stewart chosen for our academy ahead of him and having to go elsewhere for his rugby. He might have a point to prove when they're both on in the second half. Feeling strangely confident this morning, which is dange...

Need to be careful with luxuries like that, if they seem too nice then Leinster will decide they want them.

Re: Squad depth 2024/25

Having seen the confirmed departures, aside from 10, prop is my biggest concern. Only O’Sullivan, Warwick and Reid on LH and O’Toole, Moore and Wilson on TH, and Reid and Moore have been injured all season. Wonder if Kyle McCall would fancy a return? Played primarily LH for us, but has been playing...

Re: TRANSFER RUMOURS!!

Beggars can't be choosers. I'd take Harry Byrne over anything else we have at the minute, including Billy. Let's be honest, a good 10 isn't going to turn us into world beaters but we need better than what is in the cupboard at the minute. I've never understood what the fuss is with Harry Byrne, I j...

Re: Ulster v Benetton Fri Apr 26 7:35pm KO BBC2 NI / RTE2 / Premier Sports UK

Bit of a mixed bag yesterday, good in attack but brittle In defense at times. A couple of big shifts and Stockdale had his best game in years. Does anyone know what is going on with McCann. He spent a lot of the time when we had the ball doing a 'Tom Croft', hiding on the wing. In fairness to him, t...

Re: Ulster's finances

Apparently, as also mentioned in the submission, they don’t pay VAT on ticket sales over the border and this tax liability costs Ulster up to 750k a year. Think that this is the main reason that the GAA Ulster finals are regularly played at Clones. Will be interesting to see if that remains the cas...

Had always thought that Kingspan, while not blameless have been thr victims of a smear campaign to distract from the shortcomings of a tory council and a tory donor building contractor. The emails just hoped with that, the Kingspan equivalent of 'lots of spit'

Has anyone yet mentioned that Cardiff have won 3 of their 18 matches this season? I think any other season in recent memory the overwhelming tone here would be that we've dropped a point against a gash Cardiff team. The relief that we didn't drop another four, despite being abysmal is a sign of whe...

Not sure where the Lowry grief is coming from, thought he was very good last night. Other standouts where Sheridan and McCann, as has been said. Cormac brilliant off the bench, with the try saving tackle. I'm starting to think Andrew should be above Tom Stewart in the pecking order at hooker.

Maybe time to restart the Positives and Negatives post match thread. Positives - Ulster rugby has a hitherto unknown Turnover King Negatives - everything else. To be fair to him, he got turned over right in front of me last week. Half assed attempt at a clear out that led to a penalty. It seems Lei...
