Re: Munster 17/18
Good win by the Tornips in foul conditions. OK - Keatly missed a sitter (wind?) but nailed two from wide out and make some geat tactical kicks. Zebo is the best FB in Ireland. Conway showed tremendous acceleration for his try - took off like a scalded cat- and was also good in the air. An Ireland b...

Re: Ulster vs Wasps
Still not convinced. We had a purple patch with 2 tries in 3 minutes, but other than that we looked turgid with the ball in hand. Defence was mighty though, give credit for that. And Leilifano, the less said about his performance tonight the better. All in all, 4 pts and 0 to the opposition - we'd ...

Re: Ulster v Scarlets 15/9/2017
Ludi never ever gives less than 100% ... On and off rhw field hes a true Ulsterman. I watched the game from the family stand end. He gave an absolute master class at 15. Outplayed waankpenny. He dives like a goalie at players legs and takes them down properly. Why do you call him waankpenny? Leigh ...

Big Frankie has got the shove from Cardiff before playing a single game (financial reasons). May be on his way to London Irish.

Re: Rory Scholes
He will come back a better player. Not based on the game time he has had for Edinburgh. Still - he's a big fast player, and, as pointed out above, Bowe/Trimble/Piutau are either on the down slope or gone. Gilroy is still a bit of an enigma who runs hot and cold. I could well see an effective wing c...

Rory Scholes
Just read he has left Edinburgh. Poor old Rory moved from Ulster because of limited game time, but got even less at Edinburgh. What next for him? He looked a very promising back 3 player a couple of years ago. Still young. Is a move back home on the cards?

Re: Lions Tour of NZ 2017
Warburton captain again :D Surely you must have seen him "slowing down opposition ball" - everybody's talking about it. Fekkked if I know how he does it mind. Still - that busted conk makes him look quite tough ( remember Lino (no, not Lion) Ventura?) and that must be worth a few points.

Re: Lions Tour of NZ 2017
Well Cockers and Grumps, although I didn't call a draw either in private or in public, I did publicly say here that I though it would be much closer than many were saying. Couldn't have been any closer. You also said the Lions would be humped 3-0? It seems you missed out the draw when covering your...

Re: Lions Tour of NZ 2017
For those who question my judgement on Watson He is fast, he is evasive ( fancy dan foot work ) all very eye catching BUT He carried 10 times in the match for 49 meters or an average of just under 5 metres a carry He fell over himself twice in possession He was totally out of position for Barretts ...

Re: Lions Tour of NZ 2017
Came across this interesting montage of Sonny Bill's tackles in the past. Some of these are pretty horrific. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iXNZ24_VIxI I showed this to a league man yesterday. He and the rest of his compatriots are vile Teo is one of the worst with his fake cast Sent from my SM-G9...

Re: Lions Tour of NZ 2017
Jaysus Baggy - yer behaving like Donald Trump with all those self pats on the back! Here's how I saw it : Overall a sloppy game, but understandable in terrible weather. The ABs lost for want of a place kicker. SBW's card was justified - shoulder straight into the moosh, no arms used and Watson did n...

Re: Lions Tour of NZ 2017
If the Lions cant compete with Super 15 sides never mind international sides ... what exactly is the point? Just people blindly accepting jingoistic rubbish in a bid to keep the memory of a bygone amateur glory age. Bring back proper international tours, stuff the Jolly Boys England and West Englan...

Re: Lions Tour of NZ 2017
Neil I have said all along Henderson was a second row playing 6 But given Ulster's lack of Backrow forwards and the fact Ulster had a number of reasonable second rows his playing in the back row was an understandable selection but it was not the solution because he never seemed to have an identifia...

Re: Lions Tour of NZ 2017
Whilst he was decent, i Don't think Best did anywhere near enough to take the no.2 shirt from Jamie George. If you are picking on tour form then Jamie George deserved to be picked for the 1st test and based on his performance in Auckland and Rory's today, JG deserves to keep the shirt for the 2nd. ...
