Re: Ulster v Connacht
My only regret tonight is that Ulster didn't lose by the 30.point margin they deserved. No consistency in selection, tactics, application or results for a number of years. As soon as any pressure comes on ulster fold. Time to get rid of the dead wood in the admin and coaching team. To lose because o...

Re: Ulster v Munster Sunday 1 January 5:15pm KO TG4 / Viaplay Sports 1 / URC TV / Super Sport
Some of these 'what have the Romans ever done for us' posts and mentality are part of the problem in my view. We should not expect anyone to help us but ourselves. Where we are now is no-one fault but our own - and i include the off field incidents in that. I used to think of the words of comfort I ...

'You don't loose, you learn' - except if you are Ulster. I am done with this rinse and repeat bullshit with this team. The problem (or solution) is that it is becoming more frequent and as a result things will come to a head sooner. Mentally weak / unfit/ uninterested / lack of squad depth / all off...

Re: Ulster v La Rochelle - Saturday (Sunday?) Ravenhill (RDS?)
This should not even be in question. Leinster playing tonight at RDS no problem and its been baltic in Dublin all week - was showing -5 in the car taking kids to school @8am and I live 30 minutes walk from the RDS. My eldest is moving to one of the South Dublin Rugby Schools in Sept and at the open...

Re: Any word on the Academy?
Wasn't all bad - weather was nice, entry was free and the ground was 10 minutes from home. Usual fare for an ulster fan living in Dublin so wasn't expecting much to be honest. The one game I have missed down here in recent years was the last RDS game. Didn't fancy freezing my ass off, getting covid ...

Re: Any word on the Academy?
I get the feeling the author rates that Leinster scrum. seems to have been a big factor in the game Was at the game and scrum was minced first half and second. Line out was also a bit of a mess and first up tackling (especially up the middle of the park) was non-existent. Lyttle and the new fullbac...

Re: Player Spotting
Saw Fergus McFadden in BOI Ballsbridge at lunch time today - in his Leinster gear. Let BoD out into traffic at Wilde and Green Milltown last week before I realised it was him - I would not have been so generous otherwise. Safe journey down tomorrow to all. Going to mix it up and start drinking in Ra...

Re: Shoulder to Shoulder
I remember coming down to play Wesley College around 89. A team mate called his opposite number a Fenian and got a right smack in the chops for his efforts. No wonder - only since moving here in 2006 have I realised that Wesley is one of the few Prod schools around.

Re: Summer tour 2018
Heard the Cronin story today from a Leinster fan - it's doing the rounds down here. A la Bob and the balcony they are however doing a good job of keeping a lid on things. I'd be surprised if you ever see Cronin near an Ireland squad again, and assuming that to be the case he could look to move to Fr...

Also delighted for him - hope he builds a great career in France and never needs to consider coming back to Ulster / Ireland after the way he has been treated.

Was in Dubai with his girlfriend (allegedly). I believe our Rory was on the same trip - along with Connor Murray (just saying).
