Re: Any word on the Academy?
Gillespie only recently brought back in? Didn’t play u19s and was playing junior rugby for ballyclare and Ulster juniors Yeah played U18 schools but didn’t make U19s last summer. As you say involved in successful Ballyclare RFC season and promotion to AIL and featured in Ulster Junior interpros ove...

Re: Any word on the Academy?
Bit of a mish mash of a team. Marcus rea is 26 and playing with school boys. What’s the point? The Rea selection makes no sense unless for another purpose - fitness? I think it’s great including prominent schoolboys in these squads - gives them invaluable experience with academy & development p...

Re: Any word on the Academy?
If one can believe the online gossip, we were trying to sign Munster Schools Cup winning captain and number 8 Eanna McCarthy but he’s joining Connacht. Must be using Max Deegan’s agent as has been touted around every province at this point! Wouldn’t make much sense when both McKillop & Ward alr...

Re: Any word on the Academy?
A broken system, indeed. It's also a blow to the pride that we can't produce a half decent flow of quality players With increased investment, we could potentially address these issues, but unfortunately, that seems unlikely. The decline in interest in teaching exacerbates the problem further, and t...

No word on the guy who continually makes these shyt signings? Sent from my Pixel 7 using Tapatalk Wonder if he’ll do a wee video dropping the Kitsoffs off at the airport like the one picking them up. Been a dire signing. Usually with the bigger signings they are one of the better players each...

Re: Contract Situation
So with Kitshoff confirmed as leaving, does this mean Eric O'Sullivan gets a new deal? Current prop resources for next season (please correct any errors). LHP – Andrew Warwick (2025), Eric O’Sullivan (2024), Callum Reid (2025), Cameron Doak (xxxx), George Saunderson (xxxx) THP - Tom O’Toole (2027),...

Re: Contract Situation
Surprised at Wilson only getting a development deal. The way our squad looks he's likely to be a very regular fixture in the senior team. You’d imagine he’ll be upgraded early if he continues to be in the 23. Probably prudent way to do it but certainly looks like he deserves a full contract. If he ...

Re: Any word on the Academy?
Regardless of how good they are, more Leinster cast offs is frustrating I get what you’re saying but if they are better than what we have (which they are) then you take them no problem. Amazing by Wilson. We’ve saw Ox mince tightheads at international level and had TOT nearly bent in two. Wilson was rock solid - some effort by that young man!CIMANFOREVER wrote: ↑Sat Mar 23, 2024 4:05 pm Well done Scott Wilson

Re: Schools Cup 2022 and 2023 and 2024
A cracking match that could've either way. RBAIs experience in winning at ravenhill was a factor. BA were excellent but their pack ran out of steam and LO was ropey. The BA 8 was superb, and while Adam Boyd got MOTM, the Inst 7 wasn't far behond The BA 8 is only 5th year apparently! So is the RBAI ...
