Re: Injury Update
I have said this before and been laughed at but at least I've thought about it. I think the NZ youth concept of weight based teams is worth looking at. Weight range for positions, total team weights, total pack weight. Make it like boxing where you have to be within a weight range. Otherwise, we ar...

Re: 2014 Autumn Internationals
Don't think anyone did their cause much good this afternoon. None of our guys shone although it was nice to see Olding get a well taken try. Robbie was solid but Cave might well have said goodbye to his chance of getting more caps, barring injuries to a couple of those ahead of him.

Re: Injury Update
Is this the thread to discuss the rate of injuries in rugby generally? I get a bit worried that having half a dozen players out at any one time is pretty much the norm. Of course rugby is a full contact sport and I've no problem with accepting that injuries do happen and serious injuries, unfortunat...

Re: GAA at Ravenhill
Never seen GAA before. BR's right, pre-season friendly feel so no real passion but a good family atmosphere. The game itself was fast but, for me anyway, a bit monotone, all the one speed, not waves of action and pauses for everyone to catch their breath. None of the tension of being camped on the f...

Re: GAA at Ravenhill
Yes. Never seen GAA in the flesh. Interested to see what all the fuss is about - why they can get thousands of fans to turn up in all sorts of out of the way places.

Re: NORN IRON
Roll on 7.45pm tonight folks. Romania v Norn Iron for those who are unaware. Think its on Sky Sports 2. I would take the draw Hwood as I am sure Michael O'Neil would, but this is another tough match let's hope things go our way :red: Yep. A draw would do well in what should be the toughest match of ...

Dear Baggy, Wont you come out to play? Dear Baggy. Greet a brand new day, The sun is out, the sky is blue, Its beautiful and so are you, Dear Baggy, Won`t you come out to play? Inspired by Bazza, sang: ‘Bye bye Baggy, Baggy bye bye’. Rejected out of hand: ‘Sugar Baggy love’ and ‘I love to love but ...

What's the latest on Ruan? Any chance he might get a run out from the bench against the Ospreys?

Re: calling all religious fanatics
As I say, my biggest concern would be a leader who believes that God advises him only. It's a short step to believing that God is advised by him only! Is this something you actually understand to be the case in this church, or is it baseless speculation? I meant this as a general comment rather tha...

Re: 2014 Autumn Internationals
I think Olding and Henshaw will be the 12-13 for the RWC That I'd like to see. Think I'm right in saying that they're the 2 youngest players in the senior squad. Both 21. If Olding gets a run at 12, what odds would you give for, at least for one game, an all Ulster back line Trimble, Olding, Payne,...

Re: Joke of the Day
There are only 10 types of people in the world - Those who understand binary and those who don't. Classic example of a joke that either makes you feel superior, if you understand it, or makes you pretend you understand it and hope that no-one more honest asks you to explain it. Which of the 10 type...
