Re: Leinster VS Ulster HC QF 01/04/23
Good post agree with a lot of that Watched the match back on TV this morning, and main takeaway was the physicality. Ulster put in some shift in defence, but told with penalties, largely due to pressure, altho yellow/penalty against Hume looked harsh. Lot of criticism for Doak...and can be slow, but...

Re: Ulster v La Rochelle - Saturday (Sunday?) Ravenhill (RDS?)
Sorry to say these last 2 matches are turning in to season defining....confidence is shot.
Needed everything to go our way...but Pearce did us no favours in first half hour...and then the brainfarts set in.
Defence porous these last few games, conceding too many easy points. Missing Payne?

Scary officiating duo indeed.
Frank Murphy ..went to school & University in Cork...played rugby for Munster &
Andrew Brace, former Munster Rugby Community officer, and player at Old Crescent Rugby Club, Munster
Bizarre choice

Salaries on the Pro14
Much talk of rugby salaries in the press. Good to see Saracens get their comeuppance after consistently breaking the rules.
Is this the time to start publishing pro14 salaries by club....including of course anything that is being paid via the rugby unions.

Re: Injury Update
Any word on injuries from fridays game.
Its noticeable that a lot of the young backs who broke through over the last 2 season's are out with long term injuries. I'm thinking lowry, Hume, lyttle and Curtis. I'm not a physician, but just wandering if there is any significance in that.

Re: Munster Game
Will be interesting to see the teams for this one. I think Stander, Farrell and Kleyn played in the Connacht game, so in theory would be sitting this out. Still leaves Murray, Conway, Earl's, O'Mahony, Kilcoyne, Niall Scannell and Carbery from the Munster Japan contingent...and prob a few others I h...

Re: Ulster v Scarlets Fri Nov 29 7:35pm
Good performance. In the first half...great to see ulster wrap up a bonus point in half hour..even with scarlets weakened. Defence again was very good, and forwards put in a good shift. Set piece good and O' toole developing into quite a ball carier.. Backs appear to have lost their attacking flair....

Re: Bath v Ulster
Good result. Defence won the day. .apart from Addisons missed tackle/lyttle switching off after the try. Fair play to Mitrea for giving the second try... correct call, but wouldn't have surprised me to see it blown rather than play out. Best performers.. Coetzee, cooney..Marshall.. and lineout good ...

Re: Season Ticket - Renewing or Not
Understand the frustration at the poor decisions taken locally (ie kiss) lack of focus on academy..and lack of transparency nationally (ie pienaar decision etc).. but I will be renewing again.
Ulster hard to watch but desperately want them to succeed....and sure it's better than the giants or crues
