Re: Ulster v Benetton Fri Apr 26 7:35pm KO BBC2 NI / RTE2 / Premier Sports UK

Should be a tight match based on the teams. Billy theoretically should be more controlled at 10 alongside Cooney at 9. But tbf, not much spark in that backline based on form this season. Our lineout simply must be better. Stewart has to do better with his darts. Our backrow must smash them in the ta...

Re: TRANSFER RUMOURS!!

Seems a reasonable appointment if true. Needs to be given a long runway for the rebuild though, to clear out the stench of medicority in the organisation. I'm glad money is being thrown at coaches rather than players at this point, as the otherway around would be putting the cart before the horse im...

Re: The run in

You are probably right. I haven't seen much of them this season but sounds like they are decent.

I have them down to beat us and Embra, and could pick up a few LBP in SA.

I think we'll beat Scarlets and Leinster's U20s.

Re: The run in

Yeah probably the 2nd worst possible result from an Ulster POV with Ospreys getting 5 and Stormers getting 1. Second only to 2 BPs for Stormers.

Re: The run in

Some win for the Turnips there. Leinster getting stuffed hasn't helped our cause. Likely 5 pointers for Embra and Connacht tonight. Probably in our interest that Ospreys get beaten by the Stormers to knock their hopes of a playoff out. If all of the above happen it would leave the following: 6th - B...

An ugly, ugly win. But a win none the less.

We are not good, but we all knew that anyway. Good to see Sheridan and McCann playing well, but some of our basic handling skills are awful.

As mentioned by others, a lot of coaches need bucked out this summer. Only then can the true rebuild begin.

what is the bloody point in selecting him over one of the youngest backrowers like McNabney, Crothers or McLaughlin.
Vacant spot in the match squad for a turnover king. Tomorrow could be his night.

Re: Dan’s Not the Man.

No loss against Leinster is embarrassing tbf. But we did sh!t the bed in spectacular fashion from a winning position (how many times have we seen that over the years . . .), and then proceeded to be awful for a few months thereafter, and then mediocre for a while, before ultimately falling back down...

Its Cardiff FFS. I don't care how bad the current situation is, we should win this. Might be tighter than expected and not a 5pointer with the injuries, but if Matty Rea is not giving inspirational speeches in training all week a la Al Pacino in Any Given Sunday and leading us to glory, then I'll ea...

Re: Ulster's finances

Seems a strange signing given the sheer amount of talent Leinster are producing. Even if their backline was full of plodders, their pack would hammer most sides into submission regardless. The theory that having 4 competitive Irish provinces is akin to a rising tide lifting all boats, makes sense to...

Re: Richie Murphy - right man for the job?

Give the man a chance. I would settle for missing out on the top 8. We are better out of the ERC for at least another year. It will be slow progress rebuilding the team. On principle I think most would agree. However apparently the financial problems would be compounded further if we didnt make the...

Bit harsh tbf.
