Re: Munster 1st June 2024 @ 5.15pm.

Another great game for McCann.

I'm not quite convinced he should be playing 7 as I think he just doesn't have the top-end speed for it, but I'd love to see him to move over to 6 and get a proper athlete at 7 that can really be an attacking threat in open space.

Munster 7 - 17 Ulster

McCann with a forward's try from 1m thanks to some profligate Munster play.

Shhhhhhh... we are in this game.
I'll admit I was screaming WTAF at the tv when they turned down the points. Complete idiocy somewhere like Thomond.

But fair play

Serious team named by the Turnips. I fear for our front 5.
A LBP could be a big ask.

Re: Munster 1st June 2024 @ 5.15pm.

What are the permutations?

If we lose with no LBP, we get leap frogged by one of Bennetton/Embra, and if Lions beat Stormers, we finish 8th and dont get into the ECC due to the Sharks winning last week?

Re: Munster 1st June 2024 @ 5.15pm.

Weak in the 2nd row unfortunately, shouldve let Sheridan loose to take the fight to the Turnips from the start.

God forbid if McCann picks up a knock and we have to bring on Matty. . . .

Chapeau. What a performance. Real sense of a change in atmosphere about the place. No doubt about it, we'd have lost that every single time under Dan, yet strangely I felt confident in Ulster for first time in many moons that we'd edge it around the 60min mark. Great to see the intensity and confid...

Izzy looks like an absolute weapon. We've needed someone of his ilk for a long time. McCann finishing strong on what has been a superb season. Timoney top class as always. Still think we could do with an angry MF at lock. Another good outing for the front row (Stewart's darts and penalty brainfart a...

Re: Squad depth 2024/25

Billy V leaving Sarries. Probably for acting the Brennan in Majorca. He'll probably be off to France for big bucks, but if he is deemed enough of a liability (which would take some doing in France), we should be throwing some money at him. Sign him up to the Free Ps to purge his soul of his sins as ...

Can't fault Richie so far, so good appointment imo.

Looking forward to seeing how he goes next year after a full preseason with the lads.

Re: TRANSFER RUMOURS!!

Tells alot in a player's mind if they are picking Cardiff over Ulster . . . . . . Its not as if he's going to France for a bag of gold ffs. We must be seriously unattractive as a prospect for new players, especially after Kitshoff's arrival/exit fiasco. Deegan must have zero ambition of ever playing...

Re: Ulster v Benetton Fri Apr 26 7:35pm KO BBC2 NI / RTE2 / Premier Sports UK

While the season has been a bit of a disaster, really positive to see Wilson, Sheridan and Izzy emerge, and McCann pushing on. Coupled with Stewart, Hendy and Timoney, thats a real solid foundation for a pack for next season. Ed Byrne looks to be a decent bit of business. We could do with a decent 7...
