Visit Philomena's before. Bring a fleg
I'll certainly need a few beforehand, partly because he's playing in a church that doesn't cater particularly well for thirsty punters.

Seen the hugely underrated Lloyd Cole there a couple of times.

Re: Connacht Away 11th April

Good of Damien Dempsey to go on tour just before this game to provide a bit of pre-match day entertainment.

Stopping over in Thurles, Mullingar (must make sure my limbs are sufficiently weary), Galway and Boyle.

Will I need to hire a 4 wheel drive....?!

Re: Player Spotting

Anton Bresler at lunchtime today on Princes Street.

At least I think it was him.

He was certainly pretty big and looked like he'd washed his hair recently.

Moone Boy is superb. New series on March 2!

Am hoping to drop in on wee Martin when I come over for the game in Galway.

Number 2s.

My other half thinks it's the funniest show she's ever seen.

We don't get proper holiday programmes on the mainland anymore so I've been quite taken by Getaways on iplayer, especially Angela Scanlon....

Re: Stand up fer the Ulstermen in London

It was busy on Saturday. Not sure why they can't have a batch of stout on the go to save time at the bar. I'd have had time for another 2 pints. Fair play to the lass who took our order waitress style though. Very prompt service. Whatever you do, don't go in the Lowlander opposite unless you enjoy p...

Re: Who the feck is Tim Boys?

Well it seemed like boys against men last week so we may as well go the whole hog. However, Google Images offers further insights into his outstanding range of mullets. A back row of Boys, Mike the Vike and Hendo the Hobo would bring any self-respecting barber out in a cold sweat. As someone who doe...

Re: Toulon v Ulster, Live

There's certainly been some ale drunk in Nice and Toulon this weekend. Fair play to the bunch of Glos fans who turned up for the cause. The locals seem a decent bunch too and the merguez sausage and frites baguette outside the ground was a real winner. Ten out of ten for entertainment for sure. Plea...

Great results.

We should approach this game on the basis that the pressure is on Leinster, not us.

Re: Ulster vs Connacht Live

A win is a win.

Good discipline, a very well taken try, a solid line out and great shifts by the likes of Herring and Big Dan.

Something to build on hopefully.

Re: Leinster away 4th Jan

Doing a day trip from Stansted.

I’ve only been to Dublin a couple of times but it looks like a wander down Baggot Street is the way forward?

If we’re doing the 12 pubs of Christmas, I may take a break during the game if they’re going to let us on the last flight back!
