Re: AIL Energia Leage Rugby/Ulster League
Carrick, Instonians and Ballyclare fielding an additional adult male team this season. Testament to the hard work that goes on at youth level and the social element of the clubs. Guys play rugby with their mates and have fun. Few beers after a hard game still has massive value. Thanks, it is a good...

Re: AIL Energia Leage Rugby/Ulster League
Did I hear the three teams are fielding additional teams this year, Instonians, Carrick and whoever Carrick were playing, it might have been Ballyclare? Is it good news or are they taking players from other clubs?

Re: 2023 world cup
Utterly ridiculous that All Blacks v South Africa starting shortly isn't on Amazon with all the other pre World Cup matches, world rugby doesn't give a toss about the average fan. Free on sky sports mix. Thanks Jean, completely missed this! Sounds like South Africa were dominant, a 7-1 bench certai...

Re: Any word on the Academy?
You could be a good prospect but still only be a squad player like McIlroy/Lyttle. If you have brains and going and studying a good degree then you’d be better getting into a well paid career instead of being a squad player for ulster maybe earning 80k-100k for 10 years and then having to start all...

Re: Are we allowed to talk about KINGSPAN
Frankly I'm glad UR are happy to partner with Kingspan, it isn't as if the company is rotten to the core. I've had enough of this cancel culture, of both Kingspan, SO & PJ and many others, people do make mistakes and that shouldn't destroy the rest of their lives.

Re: Petries Answering Questions
Once Petrie appoints the coaches, with Bryn there does Petrie really make any decisions on the professional side of Ulster Rugby? The question what is your biggest achievement in the past 5 years is an embarrassment of an answer, can he not even give specific things that he himself has achieved for ...

Re: Petries Answering Questions
Remember when every Heineken Cup match was hugely anticipated and easily a sellout, rugby just isn't as exciting any more as a product never mind Ulster's version of it

Re: Petries Answering Questions
Why was McFarland given such a long deal (or even a deal at all) when you are fully aware of the players not liking/rating him? Why is McFarland allowed to be a control freak within every area of the organisation? Why aren’t journalists allowed free reign when asking questions or writing articles? ...

https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/rugby-union/65694650 URC pondering a draft. Can't see it myself, at least not across the countries. Maybe a draft of some sort could work in Ireland but no need for it in South Africa, they're all relatively strong or in Wales who are all relatively weak. In the two team...

Re: End of the road for Dan??
Not a big fan of laying all the blame on the players, certainly the vast majority of it you could argue was their fault. What would you do if you are coach and your players aren't performing, you change something. What exactly did the coaches changed that resulted in an improvement?
