Re: Schools Cup 2016

No doubting CCB, Ballymena and RBAI are the front runners with good packs and talented backs. MCB are not in the running this year for me unless they can field a full uninjured squad in particular their captain (8) Zac Jordan who gives them tries and go forward ball. It is a close call but that's t...

Re: Jonah Lomu

A tragic loss...when asked what his inspiration was for the England 95 Semi performance, he answered 'Tony Underwood winked at me during the Haka'...BIG mistake!

Not sure where you're coming from there 'Blow in'...Yes, there is a target weight matrix (for obvious reasons)...but there are lads there who are above & below...

Re: Any word on the Academy?

So there's talent out there, I assume that the talent spotters are relaying that information to the coaches who I am assuming are then doing little to nothing with it. I would refer to my previous post...if guilty of anything then the Coaching staff should have had a more battled hardened team read...

Re: Any word on the Academy?

Fact - Ulster talent spotters have been 'watching games' since u14 level...they are doing their job... So there's no talent out there then? There is talent there...anyone who watched Ulster Schools v Leinster Schools at Deramore would testify to that. The match was lost 9-12 but Ulster were the bet...

Re: Any word on the Academy?

Given that, in the last 3/4 years McCloskey and Gilroy were both initially overlooked by our so-called experts I really struggle to have any confidence that our 'pathway' coaches have any real competence. I'm open to being charged with being wise after the event but Gilroy was brad pitt of a shovel...

Re: Schools Cup 2016

Chuckle., you are apparently 47 mate... Let it go., I think I have already admitted that I got caught up in viewing schools rugby through rose tainted glasses especially when it comes to MCB. I stand by that and have moved on.... Reading this thread back ( and many other threads I initiated) and I ...

Re: Schools Cup 2016

Chuckle it's becoming apparent that you are worried about the MCB side and maybe you should be :D To grace Pirrie Park with your presence is unusual for an RBAI man when your team isn't playing us but then again your side is playing us THIS Saturday. It's only a friendly so don't worry and surely M...
