Re: Futureproofing after Marcell
The issues at lock in Europe were as a result of having 3 of the 4 frontline options unavailable, although the younger o’connor brother did a pretty decent job stepping in, in fairness. Backrow is a different issue, Ulster have 3 European standard operators, including the future Bulls player (Jordi...

Re: Leinster v Ulster Fri Jan 8th 7:35pm KO
Would have rather seen Alby going down instead of Wee Dave but if he has been producing in training well he deserves the reward! SUFTUM Can only have two foreigners in a squad. Carter and Faddes. Thanks KOTH I should have known! PS Go on give us a wee hint of who we’re getting lol No worries. It’s ...

Re: ULSTER MOTM vs Munster
It was muted as a possible substitution against Glasgow when Henry was fading and Ulster needed a ball carrier to break the gain line . At that time Ulster had an abundance of 12s McCloskey, Marshall, Olding, --Arnold and Farrell might also have been on the books at the time. That will explain why ...

Re: Ulster v Munster Sat Jan 2 5:15pm KO
How do the fixtures work now that the league is reduced to 16 rounds? The logical course would seem to be home and away in your conference and then 1 game against each team in the other conference = 10 +6 games. This of course would mean 2 fixtures against Leinster. We'd probably have to come out o...

Re: Ulster v Munster Sat Jan 2 5:15pm KO
Not sure what James Hume does to keep getting picked. After looking good for his first few caps he’s been nowhere to be seen for his last half a dozen. Disagree. His passing was excellent this evening. He isn’t the finished article but has huge potential. Very few players are the finished article t...

What will Dan go with?
Madigan / BJ at 10 with Lowry at fullback (Stockdale on wing); or Lowry at 10 with Stockdale at fullback?

Re: Heineken Cup 2020/21
Full group is Exeter, Lyon, Ulster, Bristol, Munster, R92, Clermont, Connacht, Harlequins, Glasgow, Gloucester and Toulouse which is good as there are a lot of good teams in there who will take points off each other and fewer points needed to make Top 4. I reckon 2 home wins and a win in England wi...

Re: Ospreys Vs Ulster Sat 10th October 5.15pm Premier Sports
Quite surprised at the 2 bench options for the backs. Would have gone for Alby naturally over shanananananaghan just on ability and Lowry just so that 10 is covered. Whilst I get Ludik can cover 11-15 it’s risky not having another 10. Lowry can cover 10 and 15, Mads can move to 12 or 15 and Stockda...

Madigan, Hume and Lyttle I’d have thoughtbig mervyn wrote: ↑Sun Sep 06, 2020 2:09 pm Would have been surprised if Ulster hadn't got the job done in ET if Madigan had missed. Would have fancied us in the kicking competition too. Who would the 3 nominated Kickers have been from the 15 that finished the game - Madigan, Lowry and Lyttle?
