Re: drop goals

I think Ulster's last drop goal was Paddy Jackson against Exeter in 2016. Happy to be corrected. No it wasn't. Happy now? :D Yer welcome. :duck: In addition to my unanswered query, drop goal as mentioned by austintranslation would be the correct term used for a successful score only. Would you be r...

Re: Squad depth 2024/25

I'd agree with Humph, but what I don't agree with is filling our academy with guys that don't have the potential to make it. Out of Boal, Boyd and Doak, it's very clear only Boyd will make it. Doak Jr might make it in his own head / world that he lives in. Not everyones cup of tea but why not academ...

Re: David Humphreys comments-promising.

Paul is a professional rugby player who retired from rugby in 2023. He wishes to claim Sportsperson's Relief. To do so, he reviewed his income from playing rugby for the 15 years prior to retiring (including 2023). He selected the 10 years which allowed him to maximise his relief claim. One of the ...

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Backrow would be a bit of a surprise - I would have thought its an area of strength. Hopefully McNabney pushes on next season, possibly mCClo...

Losing I can take, plucky defeats I cannot. That was not a plucky defeat. We out boxed the heavy weight, if that had of been a pound for pound fight we win that. Very much looking forward to see what Ulster side comes out of the traps come September after Murphy has put this squad through a pre seas...

Jimmy Duffy joining the coaching staff, has worked with Murphy in the U20s before. Strange quote from the announcement below, co-forward coaches? “Alongside Roddy, he is set to bring the best out of our forwards, including the younger homegrown guys currently coming through into the Senior set-up. ...

Anyone know how the €40 million is shared out? Assume not evenly. Guessing...

Connacht €7
Ulster €9
Munster €9
Leinster €15

It's a known known Connacht get less funding, Leinster generate the most revenue filling Aviva half a dozen times per year....

Re: IRFU Central Contracts

Will that 1.2/1.5m saving to the Irfu be an actual saving, or will they say “let’s fund another 4/5 CCs with the money at no extra cost?” Interesting to see what level of new pro contracts at…. Sense new financial realities in place. Players on less money. If IRFU go down the route of funding more ...
