Re: Ulster v Exeter 22nd August

34 players in the squad - how will that work, a first half fifteen, a second half fifteen and a few subs?

Re: Gerald Michael Anderson RIP

I should add that daytime R Ulster barring the news is dead to me. Yep. Wendy, alas, is no David Dunseith. Hugo, alas, is Hugo. Have to stick up for Hugo. Not my cup of tea but nobody works an audience better than your Uncle Hugo D. A real pro. Although they were very different, I guess Gerry and H...

Re: calling all religious fanatics

Maybe if we all pray really really hard, God will intervene with flood/fire. Even the Americans couldn't miss the irony in that. :D

Re: calling all religious fanatics

Why oh why is there not some madman in America to do us all a favour & exterminate these people. They have some lunatic to kill all sorts, why not Westboro Baptists? Calling them pr1cks doesn't quite cut it, these people are the full prickly pear. And it should be easy enough. They mostly live ...

Re: calling all religious fanatics

I'm not sure though, that the default position of most people is theism, real theism. Is the evidence not that most people are either atheist or agnostic. Most churches aren't exactly bulging at the doors and a quick look round surely says that most people are, in practice, atheist or agnostic. Can...

Thanks Baggy for those posts. Always good to cut through the ordure, but you don't cut through it by simply adding more. I've no interest in philosophy but I do like to think a bit, purely recreationally You sound like a bundle of laughs. btw trying to show me that Paris exists by telling me...

Re: I ain't no presbyterian but

You're right, Russ. Both sides want to terrorise the other into submission. What gets me is that both sides believe that you actually can terrorise the other side into submission. It just doesn't happen. It just builds resentment, bitterness and a more entrenched passion to fight on. Sadder still is...

Re: Pre-season friendlies

Lets hope the pitch is in good order. When they went west of the Bann last year the surface was covered in mini potholes so it was a worthless effort regarding training but, I suppose, there was some good PR locally. Crossing the Bann is only for the foolhardy.....there be monsters But the alternat...
