Re: Ulster in a world club sevens?

It was the 1993 RWC sevens that first got me interested in rugby as a kid. I remember thinking Dallaglio was brilliant alongside Matt Dawson and Chris Sheasby. Campese and Lynagh played for the Aussies in the final. Of course none of those boys achieved anything in 15s. :duh: I just looked it up, w...

Re: Ulster in a world club sevens?

I think for the the number of players available Ireland manages to squeeze a lot of success from the resources they have. Stretching those any further would place pressure on the provinces while not really developing talent for the 15 man game. I can't think of too many 7's players who have stepped ...

Re: Pro12 Semi - Ulster vs. Scarlets

That's definitely a team to get the job done, but maybe a bit harsh on Diack who was my MotM last night. Difficult to know what to expect from the Scarlets, other than they will lose. Given they had a couple of Lions in their back line last night they were smashed by Treviso. Are they really up for ...

Re: Lions squad announcement

I remember a few years back prior to Ireland v Wales in the 6N at Croke. Best gave a fairly innocuous interview to the BBC and Gatland turned into a big deal, referring to Best as 'World class hooker' but in a sarchastic manner. Has played on my mind as soon as Gatland was announced as Lions coach. ...

Re: Dear Mr Logan

I'm assuming you either have a season ticket, don't intend to travel to the final or simply don't give a toss about your fellow Ulster fans for at least 2000 who have attended regularly during the season will not have an opportunity to support Ulster in the final. Furthermore if Ulster are to becom...

I mean on the Aviva/Twickenham scale. We seem to have no problem performing in tighter, more atmospheric stadia, even as the away team. Thought we played a lot better losing to Clermont than we did beating Embra.

Re: Dear Mr Logan

I know this isn't the real debate here, but if Ravers is unavailable I'd be a bit more confident facing the Dubs at the RDS than the Aviva. Have yet to see this team perform well in a big stadium.
