But when the out half captain says that his scrum half was the game winner, what chance for Cooney?

Re: 6N 2020

Rumn Nail on the head! Danger is that there will be pressure on the provinces to play the same way, box kicking ad infinitum. Remember Phil Bennet's philosophy; " whilst we have possession of the ball, no matter where we are on the pitch, we are on the attack." Why kick it to the oppositio...

Re: 6N 2020

Janny with a trademark missed pen and then unforgivably misses touch with a pen in his own 22 and less than 30 secs on the clock. I see your intuitive and unbiased rugby analysis is spot on as usual. Sexton 19 Scotland 0 Those points wete all pretty much regulation but he did alright overall. Would...

Re: 6N 2020

Stander just took 2019 off. Normal physical service resumed today. Scotland turned the game into an arm wrestle as they often do. They slowed everything down and took advantage of laissez faire refereeing at the breakdown. Agree. Every breakdown had a Scottish player "trying" to get back ...

Are we all obliged to use this schoolboy code?
Does spelling people's names out in full take so long in these busy people's lives?

Including my in-laws who hadn't been to a game since a certain match in 1999!

I can remember them running onto the pitch at the end and that dance up O' Connell street in the evening was pure class

Re: Injury Update

Most injuries are the result of pace meeting brick wal and failing to roll properly with the impact. Cassius Clay always tried to fight off the back foot thus avoiding walking into the punch. Drive your car at a wall at full speed --then look at the damage -- the human body is not that different. A...

Matu'u ( LI) got 5 weeks for attempting a tackle with arms but having his head up and making contact with his head.
Point well made that citing afterwards is no consolation to UR. Why does video officiAl not intervene on the spot?
