Re: A little bit of politics folks`
Can't believe they are polling so well. Regardless of their baggage - their policies are costed via way of the magic money tree. In the north, that kinda works by blackmailing London all the time. In the south, that won't fly with Angela Merkel. It just highlights to me one thing - the electorate a...

Re: A little bit of politics folks`
I'm surprised they're not getting more stick for their uncharacteristic vote management. Thing is they were wolfed at the last local elections. I don't think anybody saw this coming, even SF themselves. For example in Clare which never votes SF they dropped a last minute unknown candidate onto the ...

Re: A little bit of politics folks`
Spot on Mervyn. 20 years ago when SF candidates primary message was about Nordland and the memory of the violence was vivid SF couldn't get a vote outside of the green headed nationalist brigade. Now they are a party who are talking about issues that people really care about and have a lot of people...

Re: 6N 2020
Italy scored a couple of nice tries but really only allowed into the game because France snoozed their way through the game.

Re: A little bit of politics folks`
FF already softening the tone and that is coming from Martin. FF is notorious for wanting power at any cost and Martin wants desperately to be Taoiseach. FF / SF coalition is a strong possibility.

Re: A little bit of politics folks`
FG have been so adamant on this I don't think they can go in with SF. I think FF could but only if they change their leader. It is hard to call until we see how the seats play out but I suspect if FF get 50 seats minimum they'll form some kind of Govt probably with Greens and FG providing confidence...

Re: A little bit of politics folks`
Do you know why this has happened, Shan? People fed up with the old guard? Yeah definitely a lot of people under 60 are sick of the old firm. Mary Lou did very well in the debates and I think a lot of people are hearing the shinners saying what they want to hear on issues like housing, health, craz...

Re: A little bit of politics folks`
Love the way both FF and FG are reluctant to work with the Shinners but they expect every other party in the North to do it. Absolutely. I think it demonstrates what FF and FG really think of NI itself and Nordies. I'd go so far as to see that the Irish establishment think of NI the same way the Br...

Huge surge for Sinn Fein in our general election. Looks like they could get close to 35 seats from their 42 candidates.

Re: 6N 2020
Murray was decent. It is always the case that a sub 9 coming on late in the day appears to speed things up. I say that as someone who called for Cooney to start. No need to be ridiculous for provincial reasons. True. But experience suggests that Cooney coming on atc any point speeds things up. A go...

Re: 6N 2020
Scotland v England was a shocking game played in woefully Scottish weather. Scottish weather is like the Scots themselves ....fairly miserable. They deserved nothing out of the game. England poor enough themselves but at least they played it a little smarter.

Re: 6N 2020
Well at least it was an easier watch this week. Wales not great but always satisfying to beat them. Healy is not the best loosehead in Ireland any more. However Kilcoyne brings more off the bench than Healy would so likely to remain on the bench. Locks still below the required performance standard. ...

Re: Munster 2019/20
Anyway....... Larkham at Munster presumably means the plan is to devise a more attacking game. Then you sign De Allende. Now the guy looks top class but he's not exactly going to be a playmaker. Snyman one expects will be all good. Desperately needed as Munster second row is poor. I don't know much ...
