Re: Gloucester v Ulster MoTM?
The ref. Maybe not the best but certainly the most influential man on the field today!

Re: Heineken Round 2 Gloucester Away Sat Dec 19 3:15pm
Have lost 3 posts so far so this will be short and curtailed. (Why are you cheering ??!!) Lost another game we should have won. Great effort especially when down to 13 men. But street smarts are poor both from players and management. Sorry Dan but you should have subbed O'Sullivan before that last s...

Re: Ulster v Toulouse Friday December 11th 8pm KO
Thoughts on last night are overall coming away a bit disappointed. Yet we showed some good signs. But ultimately we missed Henderson and Burns from the start and simply couldn't then afford to lose Coetzee and Carter to injury. After that it look inevitable we were going to lose. The missed conversi...

Re: Toulouse v Ulster Heineken QF
Said all I had to say last week. Today was more of the same - our basics are gash. We can't pass, catch or tackle. Our two NIQs today are not worth the money and are barely pro14 level and that's such a poor league. Again we didn't take 3pts when on offer, went to the corner and blew the chance. May...

Re: Pro 14 Final vs Leinster, Sept 12th.
I would go so far as to say that playing like we did yesterday, we're a pretty good side - We never looked like scoring and our line speed defence is too slow. We've a few players with a big of X-factor - who? Leinster have the depth to lose some of the big players without too big a drop, but we don...

Re: Pro 14 Final vs Leinster, Sept 12th.
maybe, maybe not. One of the reasons I rated him at 5 was his lack of leadership. Maybe I'm comparing him to Rory but he has been captain and is one of the senior players but he didn't step up last night........again.

Re: Pro 14 Final vs Leinster, Sept 12th.
Reality setting in. We are a very average team playing in a poor league with one team streets ahead of all the other dross. Anybody thinking otherwise is deluding themselves. How many first pick internationals do we have? We have a few who got capped on summer tours or as 75th minute subs but only a...

Re: Ulster Squad 2019/20
I am not particularly political in any way but this signing worries me. I do not think that professional players should openly display any political beliefs when representing a club. This guy knew what he was doing and the reaction he would get when he chose to wear his shinner boots. Yet Ulster Rug...

Re: ASM Clermont Auvergne Vs Ulster Sat 11th Jan @ 1.00pm BT Sport 3
So thoughts from yesterday. It was a mixture of some very poor refereeing decisions going against us and some poor decision making and errors on our part. Given the final score its hard to explain that I feel we could and should have won the game. But I do believe that to be the case. Firstly our po...

Re: 2018/19 End of Season Review
Posted this on the wrong thread obviously. Doh!! Anyhow, end of terms report: Front Row - Good- improvement of EOS and Kane. Bad - Rory retiring, not sure if Herring is good enough to be our first choice hooker. Hopes- McBurney to develop quickly? Second Row - Good- Treadwell has improved. Bad - our...

Re: Glasgow v Ulster, Fri May 17, 19:35
Its been a while since I posted but visit the forum every day. Here's my end of season thoughts for what they're worth. Agree that the season has been better than I feared at the start but can't shake the feeling that we're not really progressing. Friday night's performance was really poor. Given th...

Re: Cheetahs v Ulster Friday 21st September 6:15pm KO
Not committing enough men to the ruck, Not tackling, kicking away position & no plan in attack. Apart from that its going really well. Must be the only team to play without wingers. They've hardly been mentioned

Re: World Cup News
Cant be bothered reading the previous posts so not sure if my comments have been disagreed with earlier or if they reinforce what others have said but here goes. Squad named today shows again that IRFU selection is severely flawed. Trimble not selected because lack of match fitness - yet Healy is?? ...

Re: Glasgow v Ulster - Play Off Semi Final
Disappointed as yet again we blew another important match that we were winning. I'm not sure we are as good as we think we are but that's called support. We're allowed a certain amount of rose-tinted glasses in our belief of our team. However we're not improving. Yes some positions have better playe...
