Re: Underage Representative Sides

Gentlemen, just to correct a previous post, Ulster Schools U17's beat Ulster U18's Clubs by a score and Ulster Schools U16's beat Clubs U17's by a score. The U18's Schools had a very successful 3 day camp at Saracens RFC where they defeated a Saracens Academy side by 36-34. The Ulster Schools U18 XV...

Re: Schools Cup 2016

This so-called blow-in to Campbell has already played tight head for Ulster Schools against Munster Schools.

Re: Any word on the Academy?

Yesterday, finished the 4 Interpro series for Ulster Rep teams. I think we are 1/11 wins. U20's lost all 3, U18 Schools lost both (Connacht didnt play ), U18 Clubs lost 3 and U19's won 1/3.
This happened a few years ago too and there was consternation then. And now ???

Re: Any word on the Academy?

This has been an interesting discussion on a subject that probably few of the contributors, (including myself ) know much about. The Ulster Branch, unlike the other Provinces, seem reluctant to promote the Academy as openly as they should, in my opinion. Therefore the debate is controlled by specula...

Re: Waste of a good Fiver?

I had the dubious pleasure of playing against that CI side. They were the best Ulster Club side that I played against and that includes an equally awesome Ballymena outfit at that time with McBride, Steele, Bailes, McIlrath, McMaster, Campbell and Alan McClean at openside. At CI, Willie Posthlewaite...

Re: Offski??????????????

Being a Scottish International now, do you really expect Ulster Rugby to use up one of their NIQ places on Tommy Seymour ?

Re: Schools Cup 2014

How did the Ulster U18s do this season. They lost to a strong Cardiff Blues Academy away and beat Sale Sharks Academy away in their pre season warm-up games . In the Schools Interprovincial Championship, they beat Connacht (H), lost to Leinster (H) and defeated Munster in Cork, to finish second in ...

Re: Injury Update

Yes indeed Luke hasn't been considered for the Irish squad this week. Return to play protocols and all that. Hope it doesn't present any serious issues for him for the rest of the season . Luke could be out for a while. Luke Marshall's health should be the only concern on everybody's mind now. 4 co...

Re: Schools Cup 2014

Whilst the pitch may obviously not be in great condition, the reason that the semi finals of School's Cup are being outsourced is that the builders need every living minute to get building completed for approval and for Quarter final against Sarries. Really, if 2 semis, the subsidiary final and the ...

Re: The Academy[2013-2014]

Load of Ulster players in the squad to play Australia schools, although in my mind there is always a bit of politics in the squad chosen based on the coach, or where the team is playing. Good news all the same. http://www.irishrugby.ie/news/30284.php As the Head Coach is from Leinster and the assis...

Re: John Afoa

With Tom Court leaving, which was inevitable if he wasnt getting an Irish contract and the news that Afoa is on the move, which we expected (although the destination has caught us out) added to the lengthening injury list, added to today with Tommy Bowe, I think it would be in Ulster Rugby's best in...

Re: Stadium Redevelopment Photos 2012-2014

Zactly - I don't want to get all Tommy from Comber here ... but really is a clock to much to ask? I know! The fact that the screen is sponsored / provided by Lunns the Jewellers is not lost on me. Surely a watch maker / provider could manage to provide a clock with their screen?? It's a bit of a pa...
