Re: Dragons Pre Match Q&A with Jonny Petrie
Funny how Burns suddenly becomes everybody’s favourite just as he’s emptying out his locker. You’re forgetting that Munster couldn’t afford to offer their WC winner a contract. Until this week, they couldn’t even afford to offer the Ireland captain a contract. Whatever your opinion on Burns, even S...

Re: Dragons Pre Match Q&A with Jonny Petrie
I mean it can only be Ulster fans that can be drunk off about signing a dual WC winner in their prime right? If it leads to having to dump players all over the place as a result then yeah! If there had have been any medium term financial planning we would never have signed him. I’m all for dumping ...

Re: Dragons Pre Match Q&A with Jonny Petrie
It’s all a fairly unsophisticated load of smoke and mirrors as Ulster, like pretty much every sports team, is, in isolation, an unsustainable business. Ticket income was down 180k to about 3 million which is not great but relatively insignificant. The key swing in the accounts was professional game...

Re: Dragons Pre Match Q&A with Jonny Petrie
Who at Ulster Rugby was at fault for the debacle v LaRochelle? Sent from my Pixel 7 using Tapatalk And does he think fans are stupid enough to believe the monetary loss of one fixture has left Ulster in complete financial ruin. Ferris said on the Viaplay URC podcast the other day that apparently th...

Re: Dan’s Not the Man.
I wouldn't totally trash Dan's legacy. The first 3 seasons were pretty good, all things considered. Problem was not only an inability to kick on but serious regression. I agree, in fact I think the first 3 years were excellent.. They were excellent.... he did start from a pretty low bar though, wou...

Agree, and I hate to say it, I don't want us to limp in, I'd prefer to lose every game to the end of the season to ensure change.

Re: Reset button required?
Get them out! Out of our depth on and off the pitch. The realisation sets in when Kitschoff comes off the bench and his salary is more than the other 7 forwards on the pitch combined. Tactically naive. Played 14 Won 7 Lost 7 with the following to go.... in bold I don't see us winning, whens is the l...

Re: 2024 U20's
Not sure which thread this belongs, but as we're talking U20s, A comment on matches played away from Aviva. Munster host Crusaders in Cork in front of 40k, Leinster have their annual 2/3 soirees at Aviva. Both are first up for touring teams, U20s internationals etc. Connacht and ourselves get squar...
