Re: Contract Situation
But for the" blazers " most rugby clubs would cease to exist most are volunteers unpaid who devote many hours to enable the game to exist at club level -- many are competent networkers but there are a few who are there for the ego trip. Post matches dinners are either paid for in advance ...

Re: Contract Situation
Being a well respected member of this forum or not still doesnt excuse the s***show that UR has turned into. It s a matter of collective responsibility. I doubt that if I knew who this member was I would feel inclined to assign them respected status

Re: Contract Situation
Looking at some of the other names on the management committee quite a few have been kicking about for years. Retire from the bank or public sector and pick up a nice little number in a blazer. Perhaps our issue isnt first up with coaches and CEO's. The structure at the top has failed, not fit for t...

Re: Contract Situation
In articles I see Cecil Watson's name appearing as far back as 2007. Loads of pictures of Cecil in his blazer as well!
In 2003 I saw "The Ulster side, coached by Allen Clarke and managed by Cecil Watson, " - is that the same guy.
Who exactly is he and how or why a 20+ year involvement?

Re: Contract Situation
Well what about stringing together a theory which may or may not be conspirational. Nucifiora departing and DH is inbound. DH is still and always be an Ulsterman. SO in the current handover period DN and DH meet, the latter being briefed by the former and DH begins to assemble his strategic plans. O...

Re: Contract Situation
While not absolving Petrie I think we need to look at quite a few others From looking at the articles of association for UR it seems that the Professional Game Board ultimately reports, or at least is under the supervision, of the Management Committee Management Committee Chairman P Terrington, Pres...

Listed in the annual report under the heading of "Professional Game Board" are the following S Best M Boyd DMF Bryn P Magee D Millar C Small T Bowe Petrie Are these board members that have allowed the current shambles to develop? At present there is as much clarity around who exactly is in...

Re: Billy Burns offski?
On Munsterfans the reaction seems quite mixed but a good few thinking its a positive move with BB signed as a back up 10. So in the spirit of Ulster rugby we can expect the deal to go through and BB proceeds to play the best rugby of his career and perhaps be part of a team that wins some silverware...

Re: Reset button required?
As I recall Alex Ferguson chucked a boot at someone for a lot less. It is a valid point though, no player should or can be bigger than the club. If some of the current squad are of the mind that they are then its time to reveal this to the fans as well as inviting them to feck away off. Hammer menti...

Re: Dan’s Not the Man.
I do feel that some have hit the nail on the head with reference to the toxic culture. Now I dont know where that comes from but it should be pretty clear that sacking DMF wont solve the issue. Who put him there on a new contract? Whoever that was, be it an individual or a commitee, needs to go too....
