Re: What annoys people????

"One year to go until London 2012" - have to say I am getting more & more irritated as the day goes on listening to irrelevant guff about how wonderful its all going to be. My only involvement in the Olympics will be through my taxes. Yet another example of "we're all in this toge...

Re: The Golf

Anyone watch Darren's Destiny? Another excellent documentary and very emotional. I nearly have cried when he first saw his kids after winning. I watched it and like you was close to blubbing like a lassie at that point. Great to see the big man enjoying his win so much and great to have him back in...

Re: words fail me

Of the top 10 nations 4 contracts expire shortly after RWC with no announcement on extension 2 contracts expire shortly after RWC and a 2 year extension has already been agreed 3 have existing contracts which are not up for renewal until well beyond the RWC 1 appears to be on a rolling two-year dea...

Re: In the Hotseat - Ruan Pienaar from Sydney

Have to day I am astonished at some of the things that are being compared with Ruan & still no mention of the self-closing toilet seat. Leave the thing up man. Who wears the trousers in the Trousers household anyway? Snipe, we are now in thge 21st century, consideration is the name of th...

Re: What annoys people????

If you sail past it on a ferry you are passing Islandmagee near Larne, if you sail past on some pleasure craft, it could still be Islandmagee but more likely to be Mahee Island. Trust this helps. Fair point BR - that would indeed have been a stroke of consequence albeit still out of bounds, 3 off th...

Re: words fail me

No surprises there JohnEBoy and no discernible pattern which either rubbishes or commends the IRFU. That said, as with most pieces of information you could make whatever story of it that best suits your viewpoint. I for instance would say that the 2 over-achieving nations in each of the hemisphere (...

Re: What annoys people????

on a totally unrelated, but still golfing note, a mate's mother won a matchplay match 10&8. :salut: that is a spanking! Wash your mouth out Welder, whilst a fan of the fairer sex I have to draw the line here. Women & golf should never appear in the same sentence. Your mate's mother may feel...

Re: In the Hotseat - Ruan Pienaar from Sydney

But not the stuff we used to get in school ... super slide, high gloss, zero absorbing, mega cheap stuff ... a bit like a cross between teflon, nonstick frying pans and cling film ... a good doss of the trots and you could be using that stuff for a month non stop before you could leave the cubicle....

Re: words fail me

Given that 4 years ago the IRFU looked a bit daft; it may have been prudent not to extend at this time, even if only for political reasons. Give over Snipe  They have done the right thing, as an Ulsterman you should know that the only thing you get from political machinations is FUDGE. No, wh...

Re: In the Hotseat - Ruan Pienaar from Sydney

If this is true it's the best news since sliced bread was invented Great player though Ruan has been for Ulster, I couldn't possibly agree with that statement, since I would rank the news that Mr Tayto was starting to produce tayto crisps as being significantly more important than Ruan signing for ...

Re: words fail me

Whilst on a roll here, I am reminded of the great George Hook's comments in the wake of the sacking/mutual agreement when EOS left the job. "Eddie is actually a very very good coach" said the great ego and you have to think that in that Hook was almost certainly spot on. Eddie did do plent...

Re: words fail me

the point is that there is no need to do anything now. I don't buy the argument that the coach will perform better knowing his employment is secure for 2 more years. So what purpose does extending now actually serve? For the idle, there is never an imperative to do anything "now", no matt...

Re: The Tigers are coming!

Top man Rooster, there speaks a man who eats "real food." I suspect brother Rooster would pour scorn on an offering that included noodles - pat or o'rwise. And rightly so, the whole country is going soft on "foreign muck". Fine let the frenchies in with their fine dining and crea...
