Re: Contract Situation

But for the" blazers " most rugby clubs would cease to exist most are volunteers unpaid who devote many hours to enable the game to exist at club level -- many are competent networkers but there are a few who are there for the ego trip. Post matches dinners are either paid for in advance ...

Re: Contract Situation

Rugby has been professional now for almost 30 years, there is no excuse any more for amateurs to have oversight of professional teams.

Re: Leinster shithousery - Tom OToole

Every time TOT comes on for Ireland I watch the first few scrums from behind the sofa, only to find that he rarely lets the side down. While for us he has had his behind handed to him on a number of occasions. Coaching? Application? Rest of pack? I think it’s part coaching, part Stewart being a wea...

Re: Dan’s Not the Man.

Today's Ireland squad announcement is absolutely mortifying for McFarland and Petrie. I genuinely hope they walked around red-faced all day.

Imagine ballsing things up so badly that you cannot get a single one of your players into an Ireland 23.

Re: Contract Situation

I think the more worrying part of the report is that we are doing this as part of a cost cutting exercise. That means there will be no big money NIQ replacement. Or I think any replacement at all. If the Leinster players were moving they would go to Munster, just like carberry, though that was a lu...

Re: TRANSFER RUMOURS!!

I see there’s some doubt over the future of Mako and Billy Vunipola at Saracens. Given the level of dislike of all things Saracen on this site, would you be in favour of them having contracts with Ulster, if the NIQ nonsense was gone? Supposing they had not played for England and were free? I think...

Re: Contract Situation

If we plan on using Doak as Burns replacement we are in big, big trouble. Why? Because Doak has almost no experience as a professional 10 and our other 10 is Flannery. If Ulster do see Doak as a 10 why haven't they invested more time in him there? Playing there for the last few mins of games after ...

Re: Contract Situation

why not go for 29 year old Ross Byrne? OK, he picked up an injury post RWC but he has plenty left and loads of experience. Leinster don't make the length of contract extensions public so unsure which of the 10s in Dublin have a renewal this Summer. Would that really matter for an inter-pro move?

I would absolutely love to sign Ross Byrne but there is absolutely no chance, he is Leinster's main man and that's not going to change in the immediate future.

Re: Contract Situation

Thornley has the Burns move now; it’s in the Irish Times. Hes usually not far from the mark.

Says we aren’t renewing him.

Re: Contract Situation

It would be a bit tragic if Billy Burns left Ulster to go sit on Munster's bench.

In certain games dan is going for experience and build Sheridan lacks experience and has a frame which needs to fill out a bit ,he also has to gain confidence in using it -- Look at McCann a year ago he was deservedly searching for a place now he is one of the first names on the sheet . Sheridan in...

Re: Dan’s Not the Man.

I don't think either McCall or ROG will get the D4 job unless they come back to coach at a province first.
