Re: "Unnamed" BBC presenter

I have read as little as possible about this, but correct me if I'm wrong: Did he make some poor choices in his personal life? It would seem likely. Did he break the law ? Apparently not. Did his actions compromise his abilities as a journalist? Hardly. Are there more important things happening in t...

Re: Heineken/Challenge Cup Format 23/24

That's a new level of sh*t.

Honestly never even contemplated that there would not be a french team at home and the other french team away.

Re: URC 2022/23 - Other Sides

Sharks and Stormers away just before H cup is a disaster. Nice finish to the season with Leinster home and Munster away. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk So not back to the year 1 matches Bulls and Stormers away? Is it Zebre / Benetton away? Maybe I picked it up wrong, I was more interested in wh...

Re: Plastic Pitch

who put the pressure on ? my bet is D4 -- since any delay will effect the Budget of the IRFU as much as the Ulster branch and basically there is no suitable alternative venue for Ravenhill --KingSpan ? for normal games . Ulster could play some games away early in the season and postpone a couple of...

Re: Filthy f*****g Russians

At one point I thought the whole thing might have been a set up to move the Wagner troops into position for a strike from the north. I'm still not absolutely sure it isn't... That thought had also crossed my mind ?? Also, if it was a genuine rebellion against Putin, where does that leave the Wagner...

Re: Filthy f*****g Russians

Hopefully this builds into a proper rebellion. Putin will even more desperate and more paranoid than ever. Not sure we really want a desperate, paranoid individual with significant nuclear capabilities. It would probably be better that he believes he is safe and secure, and in complete control unti...

Re: Heineken/Challenge Cup Format 23/24

Anything is better than this duff format. 6 x 4 pools is grand, I suppose, unless they might try 4 x 4 with 2 going through from each group, but presumably that would bring a big drop in income. Or 8 x 4 with only the winner going through? Why not 32 teams? You thinking, all the T14, all the URC an...

Re: Heineken/Challenge Cup Format 23/24

The classic 4 team group with 8 quarter finalists was simple and by far the best If it ain't broke dot dot dot dot.... If I was going to try to be fair to the swiss, I would say: The 2 pool format was a reaction to Covid. They accepted its shortcomings and changed it. Their hands were tied by this ...

Re: Heineken/Challenge Cup Format 23/24

There is still the stadium at Colombes though?? Being used for field hockey in the Olympics according to google. That's in the summer though. I imagine you can switch between a rugby pitch and a hockey pitch relatively quickly (subject to planning permission, of course). La Defense is high tech, bu...
