Re: Connacht v Ulster Fri Dec 28 7:35pm TV (Premier Sport 1,

Moore versus Buckley will be one of the key contests. Buckley is criminally underrated by Joe Schidt but takes apart every scrum he goes against. Not sure what else he can do to get a cap? I'm also a big fan of Denis Buckley, especially his scrumaging, but in all honesty I'd always pick Healy and M...

Re: UBL 2018/19

Well done to Armagh ...a great result for a team with no players involved in the Ulster set-up beating a team in which about half had played for the Senior Ulster or A Teams this season Maybe UR should have selected Willie Faloon rather than Soper :stir: :stir: :stir: :stir: :stir: :stir: :stir: :st...

Re: Scarlets trilogy

No Ian Nagle Yes, we know. He has a rib injury. :duck: Hopefully he will be fit for the Ospreys match in February though? Then in the lineout, we'll find out if an osprey can fly higher than Ian Nagle (I'll get me coat) I never thought I would say this ...but that was quite a clever comment, especi...

Re: Scarlets trilogy

Looks like Marty Moore might be the dog we've been looking for. Evans seemed to be doing quite a bit of gurning. Any prop that makes his opposite number, especially a prop of Evans' quality, gurn to the ref and doesn't get pinged, must be a master of the dark arts. Epic performances from both Eric ...

Re: UBL 2018/19

The one player who stood out for me was none of the aforementioned; rather it was the Bann centre Morrison who was excellent, especially in attack, where his strong and elusive running posed problems every time he had the ball. I know nothing about him or whether he was ever approached to be in '' ...

Re: UBL 2018/19

Anyone at Hinch /Bann? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Was at match which was well attended including by members of the Ulster Academy coaching staff. Overall it wasn't a great match with 2 evenly matched teams largely cancelling each other out. Bann could have won it at the death when they scor...

Re: Shoulder to Shoulder

Contrary to the views of the majority of posters, I enjoyed the programme and thought the issues addressed were, on the whole, handled in a fair and even-handed manner. Yes, it wasn’t perfect with especially the Irish and British issue not satisfactorily teased out. In addition, the programme was bu...

Re: UBL 2018/19

We didn’t have a team finalised until Saturday morning. Great player all the same with plenty of potential. A bit small, wonder why Ulster can produce a scrum half that’s at least 6ft tall?! I've never seen O'Donnell play or indeed knowingly laid eyes on him, but surely he can't be much s...

Re: Pre season fixtures

Don’t be fooled, The Hond will not get any better, go back watch the game , O’Toole is the real deal just 19 ffs, most props don’t excel until late 20s, this kid will be a Lion I am convinced of that . Kane was thrown in early but no where near the ability that TOT has and I do not think he will ev...

Re: UBL Clubs Transfers

Distance from Belfast was probably a factor for any player thinking of moving to Armagh, also some of the academy lads might think it not as big a deal as getting time with one of other sides Anyone who prefers the upper Woodstock Road, aka Cregagh Road, to the Ecclesiastical capital of Ireland is ...

Do any AIL clubs (apart from Cork) have seats? Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk UCD at Belfield Bowl St Marys RFC Clontarf if I remember correctly, Bective Rangers and whoever they share the ground with at Donnybrook Old Belvedere and Terenure have tiered concrete steps where you can plant an a...
