Random disconnects when trying to read threads. Just in the past hour or so.

If that is a slow loading when a page is requested which might come up or may result in a "Cannot display webpage." message then I have seen similar over the last 15 minutes.

In my experience however it is a problem which has came and went for some weeks now.

Seems a similar problem on a lot of websites cables, BT have had server problems recently as well so wonder is this board actually going through one of them even though not hosted by BT

Nope site not on BT but your connection is going through BT to get to it run a test on an outside one and you get different result

Virgin fell over completely for a couple of hours last night, including the telly so it could well have been a transitory issue my end.

Hi All, there seems to be a few connection problems ongoing with this server. The host server doesn't like opening new connections when it gets over a certain number, and it's telling us that some connections are not being closed correctly. I am investigating it, but the last time we did, the host said it wasn't their fault (it was) as they limit the number of connections with PHP inside a 15 minute period, on their shared server... They won't increase this. (Although they did once in the past)
