Problem.
When i visit the UB site i am getting a wee blue box popping up, it has a heading of http://www.ulsterrugby.com.
Inside the box to the left hand side is a yellow warning triangle with the following.........document.links attachEvent is not a function undefined.
Below that is an ok button that makes the box disappear but if i move to other links on the site it returns, so it's a bit annoying having to remove it at every move.
Does anybody know what it is and how can i remove it permanently.

Browner
what browser (IE or Firefox) are you using and which version?
Could be whatever you are using is having difficulty dealing with some poor coding on the part of the web developers. Yellow warnings often mean there is a function in the code of the page that your browser doesn't understand. Often happens when the code is automatically generated by a WYSIWYG tool like Frontpage.
Not sure there's much you can do unless you're running an old browser and you fancy upgrading.

all I can suggest is that you upgrade to the latest version of your preferred browser and lock it down according to your preferences. If the site still gives you grief, then it's the site's loss. There's only so much you can do (or should be expected to do). If they can't be bothered to code it securely for your browser...
Putting pop-ups on a site is right up there with telephone cold-calling as the fastest way to lose public sympathy. I had little enough interest in the UR site but when I start getting adverts for AOL and casinos....bye bye!

can't say f-f-f-f-airer than that barney - though I persevere anyway but really pop-up ads are the lowest of the low.barney wrote:Browner

If you are using Firefox start with blocking popups, then right click on the images for the ads and select the block images tab, do this untill you have got all the sites blocked

On the same (-ish) theme:
Anyone else annoyed by the way the big screen at the Italy game kept cutting away to shots of "the lads" or "the girls" in the pub at inappropriate times?
There was plenty of protest on the IRFU message board, which seemed to be well received, so hopefully we won't see that nonsense again.

I have blocking software that blocks most pop-ups rooster. I was just agreeing woth Barney that they are the internet equivalent of cold calling and as welcome as the proverbial fart-in-a-space-suit It's about time more sites realised that the customer dis-satisfaction probably outweighs the financial benefit and gave up.Rooster wrote:If you are using Firefox start with blocking popups, then right click on the images for the ads and select the block images tab, do this untill you have got all the sites blocked
