Methody scored on the last play deep into injury time, very lucky, they face CCB in the next round.

Good work by the MCB lads as Wallace away at any level is never easy...scoring deep into injury team shows they have what it takes to keep going and thats the fine margins of cup winning rugby....suprised at Ballymena getting dumped at this stage but perhaps too much self belief can be a bad thing at times?

Ithryn wrote:Dalriada were 6-6 against RBAI after 50 mins, and had them rattled, but failed to score points during the three to four visits to their 22. Not helped that when we went wide from a couple of 5meter attacking scrums RBAI went for intercepts and knocked on, one of the three times they did that at least should have been ruled intentional, we had over laps and they slapped it away.

We had another chance to score from a kick and chase which ended in a foot race, which our player and the lines man that side thought we scored, but ref gave a 22 and then after protests a penalty.

Last 15 minutes or so we tired and they scored a good try, and then in desperation to score back we took risks and conceded again.

Oh well, hard draw for us, which was a pity as we had a good team again this year.

Methody got very lucky by the looks of things.
gutted :(

Coleraine Inst 15-13 Grosvenor HS
Go on Coleraine!! Didn't think they had a particularly good team this year. Draw looks like it has been reasonably kind to them. Dark horses? :D

Campbell 10 Methody 10 (0 - 10 at half time)

Great game with 4 tries each. Campbell were probably the better side, but Methody took their first half tries well in both corners. Looked pretty much all over after 20 minutes of the second half with Methody trying to close it out, but Campbell came back well against a tiring opposition, and deserved the draw.

Ballyclare 37 Sullivan 29.

Sullivan got off the mark first with a good converted try but Ballyclare dominated the forward exchanges in the first half to turn around with a healthy lead (Sully 7 Ballyclare 27). Sullivan finally found their form and came back in the second half with three good tries taking them to within 3 points at 29-32 only to let Ballyclare back in for one final unconverted try to seal the game. Both teams had their share of good play and mistakes with Ballyclare probably just edging it as deserved winners.
