It's a nice idea to have some sort of All Ireland Schools cup played between the provincial winners. But we forget one thing. The players are schoolboys not pros and they need to get some studying done. After all the A-Levels start only about 7 weeks after Paddy's day.

Therefore the finalised quarter-final draw is:

Ballyclare High School v Sullivan Upper School
Bangor Grammar School v The Royal School, Armagh
Methodist College Belfast v Wallace High School
Royal Belfast Academical Institute v Limavady Grammar School

Ties to be played on the 23rd February

You'd back Sullivan, Methody and Inst to win their games - anybody know which is the stronger out of Bangor and Armagh?

Thought Ballyclare were quite good, might not be a foregone conclusion that SUS win that.

FRU have predicted Ballyclare, Armagh, Methody and Inst will reach the semis.

MCB 29 - Wallace 0.

Game over by half time as Methody ran in 22 points in first half. Second was very scrappy with the Ref getting very tetchy.
Methody wings and fullback very impress on the counter and punished some aimless kicking by Wallace.

BHS 12 - Sullivan 10.

Tight game. Lots of errors by Ballyclare and some close calls especially for Sullivan in the 2nd half. Ballyclare made few forays into the opposition 22 but crucially scored when they were there. Lovely break by the Sullivan scrum half needed a great cover tackle to save the game in the last minute.

Don't think RBAI will be fearing BHS for the semi based on thos performance.

Armagh beat Bangor 25 - 0 btw.
Ballyclare are a good side, don't write them off.

Think MCB are a level above the rest.

Very clinical performance from MCB today with great performace from number 10 Josh Bingham who scored the first two tries. This Methody squad has great pace which feeds off a great pack and their off loading game was excellent today. Referee ruined the second half with some dubious decisions but MCB fully deserved their victory.
