Re: Schools Cup
Was a fantastic game and a great advert for the schools game. Felt Ballymena were slightly better and could've snatched it at the end had they been able to convert however credit also to MCB for grinding out the result

Re: Schools Cup
The Methody result just made my day
Re: Schools Cup
One of the best games of rugby at any level i've seen in a long time, just a pity it couldn't have been the final.
Ballymena were unlucky losers and played some great rugby but the MCB pack was unstoppable,a great contrast in styles.
Felt very sorry for Marshall,it was a very difficult kick and he'd had an excellent match.
Have watched some of the Leinster schools stuff on setanta but this game was miles better than that.

Re: Schools Cup
This might be dating myself but does anyone know when and why the Methody 1st changed from the white kit to the blue kit?
Where did the whites go?

Re: Schools Cup
I probably pre-date you Loosehead (assuming the '1984' is significant), but wondered the same.
There were a few years at one stage, when iirc, they seemed to chop and change between white & navy before finally coming down on the side of the navy.
Perhaps it was just logic when the lower teams always wore navy.
Anyway, I'll now settle for a Methody v Regent final this year.

COngratulations DHK. I am ex BHS but the better team won today - no doubt. BHS lacked real spark and the hadling & decison making was poor. I haven't seen them play beore this season so I don't know how much of that was down to nerves.
Good luck to Regent in the FInal.

Well played DHK and the rest of the boys - will still be supporting you against my own alma mater, Methody.
