SKY AND THE HEC

Post by colinh »

Looks like SKY have paid up for the live rights to the HEC until 2009/10 season. I suppose we can look forward to more darkness on fixtures and advance travel planning.

Probably,

but with the success of the first Lioins breakfast perhaps we can look forward to some URSC organised venues for the matches we can't travel to.

Arrangements already in hand - all depends on Sky showing some of our matches live.

They will probably televise us at home to Sarries and Biarritz  and no away matches unless it is a decider between us and Biarritz away and we have played the home game first

I note that as of season 2006/7 RTE will have rights to broadcast delayed complete game coverage of all Irish sides games. For the coming season they retain broadcast rights to Munster and Leinster games.
S4C also will be broadcasting highlights (not helpful this season as for once we don't have Cardiff).
