Luke Marshall

Post by thecrouch »

What's the deal with Luke Marshall?

Looking at the Magherafelt RFC page he's been appointed as a backs coach for next season. Is that a normal thing for a Pro player to do at this stage of his career?

Maybe realises his career may be cut short from concussions and is making sure he has something to fall back on.

Since most amateur teams train at night it's not a bad way to
Learn the art of coaching and could keep the mind alert and run a few variations

Luke would have been coached by JA at school so I wouldn't be too worried.

Harsh Buck. Harsh.

We've all had a bad weekend. It was only a wee joke.

He wasn't punished with a ban. He was punished by being sent West of the Bann. Chinese whispers.

His latest destination is west of the Shannon on Thursday night as part of Joe's Ireland v Baba's squad.
He is obviously not entirely forgotten.

I'm obviously delighted he's been named in the squad, but am I alone in being completely confused how? What rugby has he played recently to convince Joe he's good enough for a call-up, especially over Darren Cave?

On another note, fantastic to see Michael Bent named over Callum Black again - what a stupid call.

A lot of Ulster's front line players aren't there tbh, not sure I'd be taking this one too seriously. I certainly wouldn't be trying to explain Joe's logic...
