Re: Ulster v Cardiff & yes it's on TV
when I pointed out Henderson was not a 6 but a mobile ball wrestling second row there were those hope seriously thought otherwise and pointed out he had played back row at school. ( as if that meant everything )
the point is there is a hell of a difference between school boy and Pro 12 in pace and experience .
The fact that back row is not necessarily Henderson's best position doesn't make him a bad player just a bad option in the back row if you are playing a "50
min spent force beside him .

Within this carapace of skepticism there lives an optimist

Grunting a dead scrum in the Row is seriously depleting compared to Jug handle impersonations on the Flank.
We dont need the English to win the European Cup

You mean more like yet another over-rated "saviour" of Ulster.Snipe Watson wrote:He's looking more like a second row every game.
We've a whole rake of them. Our much vaunted back line is actually quite average.
Jackson - hideously over rated (c.f. Sexton to see what world class is and just how far PJ is from it)
Olding - vastly over rated
Marshall - over rated
Cave - over rated
Gilroy - over rated
Trimble - time has caught up - I'm sure folks on here would expect him to rip up trees again for us. Won't happen.
McCloskey - over rated
Payne has more brains than the rest of our backline (except Pienaar) put together. Its a sad state of affairs.
Herring has regressed something shocking. Big license has went backwards. McCall wasn't exactly going great guns pre-injury. Treadwell is an average lump. FVDM is average, O'Connor isn't what he was. Reidy is good in flashes but no more than that. Henry isn't what he was. Ross is an honest trier, but no game breaker.
An average team with one or two exceptions results in an average position in the league table. No shock there.

The whole 'water into wine' trick had some potential, but meh...that old 'Son of God' stuff is as played out as Bowe and Trimble.

Well - if finishing no higher than fourth in a league that has little competitive depth then getting beat out the gate annually at the semi-final stage is evidence of a strong team... then more power to you.Dave wrote:Jesus.

Think I'll take a leave of absence for several months, I doubt my level of depression can stand much more of this shyte. I'm off to my favourite wee city on Saturday to see the KKK celebrate Easter and how am I feeling? Like shiton the back of a shovel. Fuc'k you Ulster Rugby.
NEVER MOVE ON. Years on, I cannot ever watch Ireland with anything but indifference, I continue to wish for the imminent death of Donal Spring, the FIRFUC's executioner of Wee Paddy & Wee Stu, and I hate the FIRFUCs with undiminished passion.
