He wouldn't have been accredited with it then though
I was glad they let him keep it too.

PT should be accredited to whoever was in possession orr closest to the ball.

Who would get it in the case of a PT at a scrum?

Of course I said that there SHOULD be a straightforward PT. There is no guarantee there would have been. And of course refs very seldom go PT when a player scores, partly historically to save time though that no longer applies with no kick required. I would like to think part of it is not taking the score from the player's record.

The common sense approach would be to allow the try to be scored as part of the advantage play, but then to award the conversion automatically to the attacking team to reflect the foul play.

If it's a PT involving the scrum, it should be awarded to whoever gulders the loudest after the award.
Although many a time that would be me and I don't believe the Refs know who I am.
Apart from Nigel, who know everyone.

I feel sorry for Eddie Jones. He is widely reported as saying they 'wanted to play with a bigger dead ball area.' Fortunately for Stockdale's try stats, the groundsman did the complete opposite.

Would you swap Jacob Stockdale for Paddy Jackson right now?

No strings attached.

You're comparing the most important position on the pitch with the least important.

Why are we having this discussion? Talk about torturing ourselves. They are both Ulster players and both belong here.

All positions are important but some are more influential ---- i have had a few disagreements as to whether scrum half or out half are the most influential personally I consider scrum half to be the most influential -- a good scrum half provides the out half the opportunity == a good out half out side a bad scrum half is sucking plums
