Just reading the Beeb article on Cockerill. Not saying we need to poach him but he has done all of the things in Embra that we need doing here. He's hardened them up, taken them back to basics, beasted them in training, restored pride and passion, and brought a young local coach along with him.

Yeah and guess who your new outhalf will be, works not a miler from Dorian the noooo.

I'd prefer a picture of Dorian Gray.

Let the locals restore the passion to the shirt and a hard assed pack. Lancaster to bring on and develope a young team while Jeremy & Willie hopefully improve a complete skill set with a hope of one of them making the grade.
And mcglocks for the academy.

Will they both coach the forwards?
I think Willie should remain with the academy. When the academy is starting to produce results, why would you want to remove one of the main men?

Just let Willie and Naz play the A side for the remaining matches

Fack that TP, McGlock should never have been sacked or I suppose stabbed in the front in full public glare only for Doc Dave to source an alki buffoon.

Many gowls here bad mouthed him and said he wasn't up to taking Ulster to World Domination .............but by fu'ck, we were told that Anscombe, he of the racist mobile phone, was the man for the job. How did that work out Terry?

I'd have McGlock back in a heartbeat, a proper Ulsterman, fine if you can get a top class coach but not the likes of Anscombe & Kiss, if that is all is available I'd have a committed Ulsterman who will not accept players who are not fit to wear the shirt.

McGlock? Sure he's a break down and skills specialist. We're well stocked in those areas.
I have my own tv channel, what have you got?

Same goes for the players Baggy IMO. I'd rather have mostly locals and a few big marquee types. If that means we're generally mid table finishers, with the odd big scalp and once every ten years we have a team that can compete seriously on the European stage, i'd take it. Our team is full of injury prone muck from overseas. The only overseas player i've been impressed with this year is Louis Ludik, who always gives his all and is hard as teak. I'm not impressed with us taking Leinster's rejects and other Irish players either. Fair enough if they're like Murphy and not getting enough time at home or maybe if it's in a position we're really short on. How do we not hold on to players like Farrell, or Niall Annett?

Just because they're not Irishmen doesn't mean they might still live in Lisburn.

Cooney wasn't a bad signing either.

Kiwi ladies coach is a mate of Joes, so would make sense to implement what Joe wants. But not a great coach in my humble opinion
