Maybe UR should set the standard by not bowing to pressure from the bank
Bank of Ireland’s chief executive will tell the Oireachtas Finance Committee on Tuesday that it took “too long to get to the right position and didn’t go far enough in putting the customer first” regarding the tracker mortgage scandal.

Francesca McDonagh is due to restate her “unreserved apology” to those affected and acknowledge the financial loss and personal distress it caused “many of our customers”.

By last week, the number of customers receiving redress and compensation has increased to more than 5,000, and over €68 million has been paid, she will tell the committee. The total amount of redress and compensation offered to affected customers is €108 million,

Ulster Rugby should be highly concerned about the behaviour of BoI. I'm calling for a review of our sponsorship deal with them.

I clicked on to the Bel Tel web page earlier this morning. The headline story was Paddy's court bid to recover his legal costs and the headline was worded something along those lines. I just clicked on again there now and the headline has been changed. It now reads 'Paddy Jackson Wants Taxpayer to Fund Legal Costs' or something similar. A minor change or something which slants the story in an unfavourable way?

Noone likes us. We don't care.

Logically, the Bank of Ireland should now be asking all existing and prospective account holders to hand over their social media messages so that the Bank can decide whether or not they are suitable people to hold accounts with them.
