that is the way it was wee woman when season ticket holders form the supporters club.. the point being that unless a seasons ticket holder you couldn't be a member... time for an unofficial supporters club but then again no one would join...I was surprised given some of the comments from members of the supporters club that they voted as they did... a letter is not worth writing and we should just crawl back and day thanks for having us..Wee Woman wrote:I would give credit to those within the URSC who have stuck their heads above the parapet and spoken out to express how most of us feel on here.
However with just over 900 members, I don't think they have much traction tbh. I also always got the impression that they were tolerated rather than welcomed by Ulster Rugby. There's no real partnership there, it's all just for show on the UR side, much like the rest of it really.
I personally think all ST holders should become members of the URSC but I'm not sure there's an appetite on either side for that to happen.
Not that I will be a ST holder any longer though, we won't be back whilst Logan remains in post. The fact that they are throwing tickets for this weekends match at anyone who moves to continue to paper over this and present a united front sickens me.
Wouldn't surprise me if Women's Aid or whoever get their meeting get an allocation too ffs.

Re: URSC
To fire a shot you have to stick your head above the parapet. Anyone who has watched the last 12 weeks unfold knows that to publicly support the players opens yourself up to the mob. Not many have the appetite for it especially those with something to lose. It's true but freedom of speech is more under threat from the extreme left than anywhere else.Columbo wrote:tbh I was hoping that the URSC would show a bit of fight, but anyway. In fairness I'm not really having a go at the URSC - I'm kind of having a go at all of us I suppose..
So Paddy and Stu have been hung out to dry and:
- Logan didn't fire a shot
- Ulster branch didn't fire a shot
- URSC didn't fire a shot (ultimately - a 'strongly-worded letter' will go straight into the round filing cabinet on the floor...)
- the entirety of Ulster rugby journalists, presenters and commentators didn't fire a shot
- with 2 exceptions, not a single ex-player fired a shot
I just think that's really poor.. so much for our self-image as gutsy, hard-headed, stubborn etc etc - maybe we have got what we deserve, and maybe Logan is the CEO we deserve...

Hard to reconcile my apathy to Ulster Rugby to being a member of the Supporters' Club.
Maybe loyalty is my only crime, but I still feel like I should support the club. Maybe I should join the Supporters' Club Supporters' Club.

I've got a similar dilemma. I'm minded to leave. They're just too conservative.BR wrote:Don't know.Yes. No.Polly Cotton wrote:Do you want to ? Are you an adult ? Are you seeking attention?BR wrote:Should I renew my URSC membership?

The Independent Ulster Rugby Supporters Club... Splitters
The Ulternative Alster Supporters Club...Splitters
I’d join either or both of those. Che & Fidel started a revolution with 22 men.

You could forget about the pro game and support your local team, you might make a few new friends and acquaintances. Get involved for the love of the game. I say that to one and all.
