I am pretty sure that someone applying for a job of CEO understands that it's not a coaching role Gerald.Gerald the Mole wrote:I hope he understands his role and does not think he is the overall coach.

So if we employ Petrie does that mean a further growth in Staph?

Never wrestle with a pig. You end up covered in muck and the pig loves it.

Volunteer at an animal sanctuary; it will fill you with joy , despair, but most of all love, unconditional love of the animals.

Here (perhaps you prefer a more embellished CV?):Gerald the Mole wrote:

Here also (don't pretend this isn't a dig as it certainly isn't a question):Gerald the Mole wrote:Will wait but this statement does not instill confidence.
"Johnny can be proud of his achievements during his time with Scottish Rugby," said Scottish Rugby chief operating officer Dominic McKay.
"He has helped to create a strong club identity at Edinburgh which is proving more successful on and off the pitch. We wish Jonny the best of luck and he leaves with our thanks for all his efforts"
Just let the man start the job at least.Gerald the Mole wrote:I hope he understands his role and does not think he is the overall coach.

Dave, I don’t think Edinburgh Rugby has done anything earth shattering, and it’s not exactly Seattle Sea Hawks or Chelsea or Racing, so as I said I will see, as CEO is is there to lead and help the brand grow and be successful , I just don’t see Edinburgh being that, do you, anyway I am prepared to wait but, I don’t really think this was the best candidate, call me cynical.

Re: New CEO
Edinburghs improvement began with the appointment of little bald angry man. Now if petrie had a large hand in that he seems to be thinking along the right lines. As a hard nosed back rower he can't but see where ulster need improving so I expect Dan will get all the support he needs.

Meeting CEO this week so will pass on our views and will try to get him to sign up to supporters forum..
Currently studying Stage 5 (level3) at IRFU
Re: New CEO
I think your expectations are wholly unrealistic. Just what earth shattering feat do you think he should have achieved at Edinburgh? The sports franchises you mentioned all have billionaire owners. I suggest keeping your head on the ground. Which candidate do you think should have been appointed?Gerald the Mole wrote:Dave, I don’t think Edinburgh Rugby has done anything earth shattering, and it’s not exactly Seattle Sea Hawks or Chelsea or Racing, so as I said I will see, as CEO is is there to lead and help the brand grow and be successful , I just don’t see Edinburgh being that, do you, anyway I am prepared to wait but, I don’t really think this was the best candidate, call me cynical.
