You'd have thought he would have got half an hour last night if that was the case.
I wouldn't have thought that actually. He wouldn't waste his minutes on a friendly.
Do friendlies count?
Yes

I did a bit of digging Russ....

"The minimum term of the contract is one month. After one month your contract will automatically become a rolling contract which will renew on the calendar day corresponding to the commencement date of your subscription."

"Premier Sports current pricing for new Sky platform customers is £9.99 per month or a £99 (payment upfront) if you select an annual subscription."

Therefore if you don't want/need it over the summer of 2019 (I don't) you will want to cancel after Pro 14 final on the 25th May.

Meaning if you are a miserable fecker like me sign up between 26th - 29th (allowing couple of days of activation- cheers Rooster for tip) of this month and you can do the Pro 14 season for £79.92.

Sign up August 29th

August 29th - Free Month
Sept 29th - £9.99
Oct 29th - £9.99
Nov 29th - £9.99
Dec 29th - £9.99
Jan 29th - £9.99
Feb 29th - £9.99
Mar 29th - £9.99
Apr 29th - £9.99
Cancel after final.... 26th - 28th May or before
Do we cancel 29 days before the final and still get the final?

Good thinking Russ
"CANCELLATIONS

You can cancel your Premier Sports subscription at any time by calling our support line on 0333 003 3773 during office hours. For monthlycredit/debit card customers you must contact us at least 5 working days before next payment is due to avoid further payments being taken. For direct debit and annual customers we require minimum of 15 working days to process a cancelation. If you cancel your subscription, access to the channel will be removed at the end of your current billing cycle. Please note, once your subscription has ended, you will no longer be able to play back any Premier Sports programmes recorded to your Sky + box."
Therefore cancel at the beginning of May next year, if my other theory is correct.

So......

Sign up August 29th 2018

August 29th - Free Month
Sept 29th - £9.99
Oct 29th - £9.99
Nov 29th - £9.99
Dec 29th - £9.99
Jan 29th - £9.99
Feb 29th - £9.99
Mar 29th - £9.99
Apr 29th - £9.99
Cancel between Apr 30th - 13th May 2019
Service terminates 28th August 2019

£79.92

Does the free month have a minimum contract clause ?

No, it's a rolling month, but only available to 1st time subscribers.

You'd still be within your 14 days cooling off period Rooster so assuming you could change if you wanted. Though the may say you're now not a first time user.

With your up front payment for the 12 months means you are not subject to price changes whilst in contract. If on rolling they could up their price during the year.....

That is my understanding.

For the avoidance of doubt, on Saturday I shall be watching Ulster v Scarlets from 5pm (your time) 6 bells here on Eir Sports 2 & I assume you lads will watch on Prem Sports 2.

BR having given up on Ulster Rugby may prefer to watch Munster v Cheetahs on ES/PS 1 also at 5pm. As an extra thrill, after the Ulster game on 2, you can sate your hunger for the finest competitive rugby by staying tuned and watching Dragons V Treviso.

And if that isn't enough at 9.45 2 are showing the Munster match in full, followed by Zebre V Kings and if that isn't enough, at 2am, 1 will be showing Connacht v Weegies.

Sure where would you get it? Rugby Nirvana, worth a 10 spot of any loon's dosh a month and yer getting it for £9.99 .... or in my case, free, gratis and fer nowt.

I shall be watching on Grumpy-Vision direct from Ravers .... just as soon as I can get away from Cricket to get there.

Given we're playing the bottom team on the league that we have already thrashed a couple of times this season, I hope to be there in plenty of time for kick-off.

6 bells would be 15:00 (or perhaps 19:00).

Trying to decide whether to go back to pedantry again, in place of the rugby.

In the 17 rounds of games confirmed, the Scarlets one is 1/3 available without Premier Sports. On S4C. The other 2 are Connacht away on Dec 28 (on TG4) and Treviso home on Jan 25 (on Free Sports).

Think why did you decided to go back to it previously, and why you have, at least twice before, left it. That might help your decision.
